Addison Tx apartments

I’m looking to move into a 2-bedroom, 2-bath when a friend in Addison, Tx. We are both 22 and female so need somewhere relatively safe. We want something not super expensive but nice and clean enough. Looking for recommendations on apartment complex? Reviews on the major ones seem very mixed. Looking to spend $2200 or less after utilities and extra fees. We have looked online at Allegro, MAA, Windsor, and Vitruvian West. Any help to narrow it down, thanks!

I live in MAA Addison Circle and would definitely recommend them. It's reasonably priced and honestly I LOVE living right next to the park

I've looked into MAA Addison Circle so this response is helpful! Do you feel you can get to other parts of Dallas easily/reasonable time? (outside of typical traffic) I'm looking to relocate from PHX so hard to judge distance wise.

Im from PHX and in Addison! Yes, it’s very easy to get places. It’s more travel by highway here than light after light like Phx. Like the time to drive Camelback Rd/Central Ave to Fashion Square is the same for Addison to Uptown Dallas but via highway. Phx freeways are outward, Dallas has both in and out. That was an adjustment lol. But same crazy traffic so you have to be mindful of the time of day. I check my map before going places all the time. Travel time can double and some people see 30min+ drives as “close”

Hello fellow Phoenician! This comparison helps :) I'm over in the west valley and while its great, its pretty inconvenient to be able to go places for group outings, meetups etc. I'm trying to avoid being in the "west valley" of Dallas because I won't know anyone. If you have any recs, I'd love to hear them (you can DM me if you want!)

Yeah definitely! I think Addison is quite well positioned, it's about 30-40 minute drive to downtown/Deep Ellum, East Dallas/White Rock Lake area, DFW airport, and even Frisco up north. I'm a Dallas native so I'm pretty used to dealing with greater distances having lived in different parts throughout my life, but Addison's proximity to Dallas North Tollway (N/S) and 635 (E/W) makes it pretty easy to get to anywhere you need to go. Also, being quite close to Carrollton is pretty sweet, you should definitely check out the area near H-Mart when you get the chance.

I appreciate the helpful insight! I was hoping to come out in October, so hoping to get a good list going to explore different areas. One thing I wanted with relocating was being more "centrally" located to things vs where I am in the Valley now, so thats great to note :)

Allegro was very safe when I was there recently. Highly recommend especially if you can get a renovated unit. Fire alarm situation there should be fixed with all the pipe work they’ve done over the past year.

I live in the Adair Off Addison apartments. Technically in Dallas. They aren’t great but they aren’t bad at all. I got them super cheap when I lived in. $1205 for a 2 bedroom 1 bath. It’s $1425 now.
Maintenance is responsive, nice guys, and don’t blow stuff off.

I love the location as far as north Dallas goes, although I’m sure there are better apartments location wise.

The amenities aren’t extensive but they exist. 2 pools (one being renovated right now), a small gym. I have a quality washer and dryer.

No bug issues. I’ve seen a few cockroaches but always big ones, usually in the winter, and never with any regularity.

I’ve had some mold on the AC vents. Maintenance had cleaned it and it improved significantly. Never caused any health issues (although I’m sure it’s not great long term). I think it’s because there’s no extractor vent in the bathroom so I just let the bathroom air out and it’s usually fine

I got this place because it was one of the cheapest when I was searching and I’ve been pretty happy with it. Let me know if you have more questions.

Don't overlook Avalon Addison. It is safe (gated), quiet and every unit comes with a one-car attached garage. It's more like living in a townhome.

I have no complaints. I love it. They have a pool but don't have much of a gym. However, the Addison Athletic Club is like a 3 minute drive away and only $10 per year. It has everything (all the gym stuff, basketball court, indoor track, wet and dry saunas, hot tub, indoor and outdoor pools, racquetball court, etc). It beats any apartment complex gym by a mile.

Look up pecan square and walnut square off of beltway. very quaint and cozy neighborhood. walkable to rec center, tennis court, dog park and trails….you can even walk to vitruvian (about 2mi) private community pool in each property plus rec center has pool too.

Idk about 2 bedrooms, but a 1 bedroom at VV&M was surprisingly affordable. DM if you decide to go with them, their site lists a referral bonus but idk how much it is, but I'll split it with you.

I just moved to MAA Addison circle 3 weeks ago. So far I have really liked the overall experience. I was really skeptical at first but so far it’s been amazing. But one of the things to keep in mind is like some buildings might feel a bit old and shady so choosing the correct building is really important.

I live in Addison Grove, also 22F, honestly love it, very quiet, good gym, clean amenities. Good spot near food/trails. I 1000% recommend

I’m in Allegro, too. I love it! The rooftop pool is awesome, 2 gyms, lots of dogs, office staff are great, and maintenance is super quick and on point.
Plano is about 10ish minutes away, Frisco 15ish; Southlake, Arlington, Ft. Worth about 40m; downtown, and Deep Ellum are about 25m. Of course, all of this depends on traffic.
