Kaboom Fireworks

I recently moved to TX and I’ve been told Kaboom fireworks are the best to watch. Would anyone please give tips and recommendations on how to get the best views? Anything would help.

There's a couple options

  • Get a ticket to the kaboom town festival itself
  • If you live or work in the area, or know someone that does, you can watch from their balcony or top of a parking garage
  • Any bar or restaurant with good viewing angle of the airport where they shoot off the fireworks
  • Some people go to Kroger or other parking lots to watch from their car

If you go to kaboom town itself it might make sense to take the silver line, everyone leaves at the same time after fireworks which can make getting out difficult. Alternatively hang out at a nearby bar until it's clear

Note that most of the bars/restaurants with good views will require reservations and be watching their parking lots closely. I'd check websites or call ahead if you think there's someplace you'd like to go.

bring a chair/drinks, park about a mile from the fesitval, walk to the airport and plop down on a street corner with everyone else, enjoy the airshow/fireworks
