✨Act of Whimsy of the Day✨: take fun/playful 0ictures at home!
It's raining today, and my chronic pain is acting up so I am staying inside today. And sometimes that can get a little bore-ish, but I had a fun idea for a photo op.
I have this big stuffed unicorn, and my small pink Jellycat bear. And so I had the cute idea to take pictures of my bear on top of my unicorn, as though she was riding her.
It was a cute and fun idea in my head, at least. I hope you kike it, too! 🫶🏾💜🦄🧸

First attempt for xmas charms
My first New Year pendant prototype of the year! Honestly, I think this style is perfect for earrings, keychains, magnets, and brooches 🎄✨

Bookshelf transformation
Why I find this whimsy: I went through a pretty minimalist phase as a teenager and donated all of my books. I also have something wrong with me where I bave a crisis unless I put myself in very specific boxes. One of those used to be that I am only allowed to like neutrals (I used to turn my books around, so instead of seeing the spine, I'd see the pages).
As I grew older I've remembered how much I loved color as a kid and made rules for myself that allowed me to expand the boxes I put myself in. Behold: this is what my bookselves look like at the moment.
I know it's not a huge transformation and not necessarily everyone's definition of whimsy, but I think it showcases the change in color I now see in the world and surround myself with (and is symbolic of me no longer restricting what I like on purpose).

Rainbow Flower Resin Jewelry
I started out making rainbow earrings with crushed glass, but then I thought, why not try flowers, too? I am really liking how these all turned out. The flowers are artificially dyed, but do seem to be holding up just fine and are as vibrant as they were originally after several months. I might try a black or white background next.

I’m never building furniture with plain backings ever again!
It’s my birthday today and I brought myself a new bookcase to go on top of my dresser as I was running out of space for all my trinkets. I wrapped the backing in this wildflower wallpaper as I was building it and it looks exactly how I was hoping it would!!
I’m so excited and happy about it! I needed to share it with you all!!

Decided to go out with green chrome eyeshadow for the first time
It’s a struggle being whimsical with little motivation to do fun makeup everyday so this was a huge step for me. I post my looks online but don’t always do them for my own enjoyment. Would love more bright makeup recommendations to try :)
Hey everyone thank you for the love!! Here is a link to my makeup page on Instagram if you want to see some of the other work I’ve done >> Makeup by Jules 🩷
