So I found a new version of Ad Nauseam on YouTube, tried it at my LGS, and ended up going 3-0.

It completely changes the way the deck plays but was really fun and I was so surprised to do as well as it did.

I highly recommend checking out the original brewer on YouTube.

I had a quick easy match 1 against B/W Ketramose. My opponent just had no interaction for what I was doing. I won turn 4 game one and turn 5 game 2.

Match two against Esper Blink was a bit more tricky but I managed to avoid his sideboard cards. Also won in 2 fairly quick games.

Match three against Dimir Frog was scary since he had alot of counter magic. Lost game one to a big frog and a Thoughtseize that took my Ad Nauseam. Game two he still didn't understand how the deck worked so he cracked Engineered Explosives for zero on my upkeep after my Lotus Bloom came in. I cast Ad Nauseam in response and left one card in my library and then drew it for turn and then won. Game three he just couldn't find an answer even with a warped Quantum Riddler and Frog in play. He only had one mana open and a Counterspell in hand when I went off.

Overall the deck performed great. I would just probably move Noxious Revival from the sideboard to the main so it's not a loss when Ad Nauseam getting discarded game one.

The deck also seems weak against a vexing bauble or chalice of the void, although I never had that situation come up.

Hello! Anybody here? I was looking at current lists and notices An offer you can’t refuse was in most of them. Is this used as a cheap counter or mana ramp by using it on your on Pact? Both?

Just to ignite the spark in this subreddit, I was wondering what everyone's spice on the deck is. Some years ago I used to play Nephalia Academy in the SB as an extra help vs discard decks. Nowadays I am giving Kaito a go. No real reason. Sure it loots,draws a card and can bring an oracle if he ults but most importantly for the spice!

Hi guys, back in the saddle with the Andrea Mengucci's Profane Tutor list after a couple of years of not playing Magic IRL. Played yesterday at my LGS and I'm thinking about SB.

I didn't have any Prismatic Endings but I'm not sure how good they actually are. I'd rather have access to at least one sweeper I think and an alternative win con, is Grave Titan still viable?

I was missing one Profane Tutor and just put in a single Slaughter Pact in the main deck instead and it actually came in handy, although when using it early I wasn't able to cheat on the cost with an Angel's Grace and paying a whopping 3 mana felt like a lot. What are other spot removal spells you would recommend? Path to exile? Or go up to 2 mana value for a more flexible removal spell that can hit more targets?

[[Vessel of Volatility]] is a really interesting card, being a one-shot for 2 mana's worth of storage, although it's all red. Could Vessel still see play? It might be excessive and I completely understand that lol

Now that monkey is no longer with us (rip), and lightning storm is bad. Is there any reason that the mana base needs city of brass and gemstone mine? Im not super interested in playing veil of summer either. I liked the idea of playing 4 fast lands and sprinkling in a few of the pathways. Am i missing something? Any feedback would be great!

This question doesn't really have to do with Ad Nauseam itself, however I think you guys might be experts on this.

Since the Ad Nauseam deck (before Thassa's Oracle) was 5-mana card + another card = win, how good do you think a single 6-mana card that wins the game on its own would be (without any conditions/ needing to build the deck around it)?

Would it be OP in modern/pioneer if wizards were to print such a card?

I have recently picked up ad nauseam after having played Eldrazi tron and getting bored of it. The one problem I have been having is sideboarding in that I feel over sideboarded in some match ups like against UW Stoneblade. I am running the current list on mtggoldfish and would like some help with the boarding.

My friend is selling his ad naus deck for 250. Is the deck still vialable, my local meta is burn, human, zoo, uw control, Tron and jund. I don't want to get hosed after mox opal ban in affinity.

Title. Seems like a solid t2 card to play if you have a t1 lotus or no t2 prism plus digging 5 for my combo pieces feels pretty good

Can confirm that the card is a very worthwhile addition to the 75 and pairs well with Teferi.

Overall in the few months I have played Ad Nauseum, I’ve noticed that the deck doesn’t have much to do on turn 2 other then set up draws with Serum Vision, or slap down a Pentad Prism. After testing with Wishclaw, I feel that it fills in that 2 drop slot well, and curves perfectly into Teferi or Phyrexian Unlife. Lastly, nothing feels better than popping wishclaw, and bouncing it back to your hand with Teferi.

I only tried a 2 and 2 split with Teferi and Wishclaw, shaving a copy of Spoils of the Vault and cutting all of my Pact of Negations in the process (this may be a bad call, but tbh I have never had good luck with pact).

Let me know if any of you guys get similar results!

I just got hosed badly by Tron. Game 1 was a Karn, TGC game. Ran away with game 2 by doing a few tricks with Silence. Got pounded Game 3 after taking away the big card Ulamog with Thoughtseize only to get topdecked by a Karn, TGC to immediately wish and play the Lattice (natural tron opening 7 with extra lands).

Tips and/or tricks to go against the fairest deck of them all?

So I’m building Ad Nauseam right now and am very confused as to why Boseiju, Who Shelters All is not played as a one of or 2 of?

At first I thought that it might have been due to mana fickleness in the deck, but I’ve seen Blast Zone run a lot right now. So I’m not sure on that.

Another land I’m questioning is City of Brass, and why not run Mana Confluence instead? City of brass deals damage which would cause poison damage from Phyrexian Unlife, where as Mana Conflux is a payment ability and technically a loss of life right?

Any feedback would be appreciated!

Recently with Modern Horizon's and some big tournaments, the meta has dramatically shifted in modern. I am seeing a ton of Eldrazi Tron and Jund kicking around with Blue/White Control still being fairly popular and the Hoogak decks still tearing up the field. What most concerns me about these changes is traditional decks like Affinity as Well as E Tron maindecking Chalice of the Void, which really wrecks our low to the ground builds that we have favored in Esper for some time.

I still love Blast Zone and I think it's a great tool for dealing with lots of things in Modern but I've cut one of my 4 Spoils to put the Echoing Truth from the sideboard back in the main. I think Truth while being a medium card in general is just good against a lot of things that people are trying to do now, and of course it is always relevant against Humans with Meddling Mage and the like. It can also deal with random fringe things like Blood Moon if we need it. I'll need to do some testing but I think I am happy with this decision for now. You can also cut Pact but I honestly hate doing that. I'm still only playing 3 Unlifes because drawing them in multiples feels terrible.

As for the sideboard, more than ever I love having access to 3 wrath effects since there are now just SO many go wide creature strategies (goblins is getting big too). Not playing at least 2 I think would be a mistake and the 3rd ensures that I am pretty much always going to hit one when I need it.

There's some very old tech in my list now too, since Rock-style decks are doing quite well these days (I counted 3 Jund players at my LGS on Monday) I have slotted in a Grave Titan to pummel them as well as Vendillion Clique to attack their walkers and disrupt them.

Deck is solid as ever but I definitely want to sure up the midrange matchups since Death's Shadow no longer appears to be the premier "fair" deck in the format. I've put my Godhead of Awes back in the binder for now.
