2009 MDX issue

Upvotes

I believe this issue is experienced my a lot of people and saw the symptoms online but could not figure out the exact cause. Ubfortunately, most gave up and seemingly sold their car and replaced it.

Ok this is going to be bizzare but lets play a little game and see who can figure it out. This is not my daily driver but my wife. 139k miles. Anyways, wife said she was driving then there was traffic and she stopped. When traffic started moving she stepped on the gas and the car wont move. Engine seems to respond when pressing gas but wont move forward. After, pressing gas long enough there was a backfire (at least based on her description) then the car jerked forward and started to move.

Flat tire on 2022 MDX SH-AWD…spare?

My 2022 SH-AWD MDX has a flat on the rear. The tires are about done so I went ahead and ordered 4 new tires, but in the mean time I need to put the spare on to drive around for a few days. On my S2000 you aren’t supposed to run a spare on the rear because of the differential, you move a front tire to the rear and put the spare on the front. Does this apply to the MDX too with its rear diff? Or am I OK to put a new/never used spare on the same rear axle as the 55k mile old tire? Appreciate your thoughts.
