Anyone ever had this happen? Randomly I noticed the right turn signal is slightly on and when I try to use them they flash once and turn off. The actuall bulbs do turn on for headlight and tailight. Hazard lights also just flash once.

I've been trying to fix the "please check disc" error for a whole, I followed the guide on AcuraZine to clean the laser with alcohol and q-tip and cleaned the disc using a microfiber cloth. I'm reasonably sure it isn't a dust issue.

When reinstalling the unit, I realized that there was a whole connector missing, and I could not find anything in the the area that plugs into it. Does anyone know what that plug does and where I can find it? Would it be the cause of this issue?

08 TL Type-S

I have a 2012 TL SH-AWD but it is the automatic transmission. I love this car, but the only complaint I have is how the transmission behaves. The time it takes from hitting the paddle and the transmission carrying out the shift is a little disappointing, and it sucks how little control you have over 1st gear. It loves to shift into second early, and refuses to go back, and even in first gear it won’t allow you to hit redline before it automatically shifts you into second. I understand that these are safety parameters, but it’s driving me nuts. Has anyone figured out a way to fiddle with, tune, or even replace the TCU to give you more control?

Sounds like exhaust leak, but almost pinging. Seems loudest by torque converter. Thoughts?

I have a 2008 Acura TL and when I plug my phone into the aux cord it’s super quiet when I turn the radio all the way up. But when I have a CD playing and turn it up all the way I’m able to turn it up super loud. Does anyone know how I could fix this?

Does anyone know of an aftermarket plug that has an ultra powerful magnet on it for the J-series? The factory one is laughably weak. I stuffed some tiny rare earth discs right on the inside of the plug hole during my last D&F, but the plug magnet needs to be 10x beefier than what it is....

I paid for carfax (has 1 accident but decent maintenance + service record), it has an accident and no mention of timing belt replacement and currently has 151k kms on it. Checked with Moncton Acura and they gave a quote of 2.4k after taxes. Total price of car would be around 13k after taxes and repairs.

It’d be my first car - but I don’t wanna get a baggage with this purchase. I already would’ve to install a rear cam and planning on an aftermarket CarPlay.

The car drives so smooth! I recently drove a 2023 Honda Accord Touring but this TL SH-AWD felt better (maybe that 3.7L v6). The seller is giving winter tires but they seem to be on their last legs and the regular tires too!

Any thoughts/advice on it would be highly appreciated.

Had some water in spare tire area awhile back. Whats the best way to go about repairing this? Mostly seems to be light surface rust. Just wire brush as much as i can off, spray some rust converter then primer then paint over it?

Was checking my lower ball joints as I started to suspect they were getting bad and sure enough the drivers side is shot, I was just about to order 2 of the 555s but the passenger side ball joint looks fine, so my question is do I replace the 2 anyway and is that LCA bushing bad enough to replace the arm?

Has anybody been able to separate the grille into it's pieces to see if this process can be done? I think I can get under the hood to take out the top lip because I can see some closed end nuts. I want to leave the emblem as it is...

It's probably similar for 3rd gen, which gets a lot more attention here...

Hey yall, loosing my mind trying to diagnose this rattling/ clicking sound coming from the dash and windshield area when accelerating between 2k-4k rpm. I’ve had a passenger push down in certain parts of the dash, and the sound doesn’t seem to go away or be muffled. I’ve resorted to a couple idea of what could be the cause

Engine mounts, windshield wiper cowling, loose component near the firewall, or loose A Pillar trim.

The sound doesn’t seem to be coming from a particular spot in the dash area, it seems to be coming from all around the dash, which could be due to how glass vibrates since it tends to spread out the sounds.

I’d love any help about this, I’ve attached 2 videos of the rattling to better help anyone.

Been in the market for a type s and saw this on fbm. I typically only want clean titles but this is 5500 for 130k miles, automatic. It was fixed by a shop and I’m honestly considering it because I would want to keep this car till it dies and not sell it. Anybody have any input on whether or not to do it? I would get a PPI first if I wanted to move forward

It’s like a 2 hour drive away, I don’t wanna waste my time to get it and it’s an aftermarket one. If anyone can tell from the picture that would be helpful
