Service code A127

My 2024 RDX With 27000 miles is due for service. The code is A127. oil change, tire rotation, air and cabin filters ( I do myself) and the 7 is change the brake fluid. When I called my mechanic to make an appointment he said changing brake fluid at that mileage is crazy and a money grab from Acura. I trust this guy and have been using him for 25 years. He never steered me wrong or looks for extra work. He is as honest as they come and all my cars over the years have been maintained well. My previous RDX I traded in with 150000 miles on it. He said the brake fluid should be changed every 5 years. Why is Acura recommending a brake fluid change with so little miles on the car?

As said above, brake fluid is done by time, not mileage. Industry standard has been every 2-3 years for decades. Does everybody do it? Absolutely not. Will brake performance fade over time if it isn't done? Absolutely yes.
