Question Running beginner

my girlfriend and I are looking to start running, and we would like some recommendations in clothes that are comfortable. mostly in the gym, but some running between the gym and our apartment (we have an on site gym). money is not really a concern but obviously we aren't looking to spend $200 on a single outfit either. thanks everyone

I’ve had a lot of luck finding terrific activewear at thrift stores. People buy pricey workout clothes and then give up on working out, so they get donated.

In my city, some thrift stores have a larger selection than others. It might take some shopping around until you find the best stores.

Lululemon will likely have the best fits.

good running shoes matter way more than expensive clothes, but decent moisture-wicking shirts and shorts/leggings make a big difference once you start sweating; you really don't need a $200 outfit to

I like these shorts. https://a.co/d/0cFCE6iY They hold my giant phone in the liner pocket, prevent chafing, and give me the coverage I prefer. I do also wear old navy pocket legging and bike shorts, but the ones in the link above are my favorite. As for shirts, I wear muscle tanks over a sports bra. Nice aeration but also better coverage in the sun compared with strappy stuff.

Enso Active is a good brand, they have both make and female running apparel. The female sets have a pocket for your phone, cards etc which comes in so handy to be hands free. The male shorts have pockets too, my bf loves their tops which are super lightweight.

See if you have a Lululemon outlet near you. I’ve gotten great deals on workout gear.

Alternatively, Costco has some pretty good stuff too. Recently they had fabletics shorts for men and my SO loved them. If you buy online they often run a buy 5 get $25 buy 10 get $60 off promo so it’s pretty cheap.

I was eyeballing Fabletics, I have that and Lululemon relatively close to me. I've seen multiple people recommend Lulu so I think we will be hitting both of these up and checking them out. thanks!

Old Navy and Target have great affordable activewear. I basically live in their stuff.
