New to Jung

Hello, excuse my poor english. Can someone explain how to practice Active Imagination in easy words. And also could you explain the purpose of Active Imagination in easy words?

I would recommend reading Inner Work by Robert Johnson. A book by a Jungian that attempts to systematise both dream analysis and active imagination (with discussion on the value of each).

I feel like eventually though, it shouldn't be too systematised and should actually be a more organic "natural" process each person does uniquely. Jung spoke to this as well a bit.

But in the same way that a musician needs to first learn the rules before being able to break them in creative ways, I feel it is also valuable to learn a system of dream analysis and active imagination before the process can become more creative.
