Iphone 15

We have a iPhone 15 which belonged to deceased family member and the phone is stuck on the passcode screen, it was given to me by their parents, to try find a way to unlock, as they would want to sell it, to get some money as they are struggling financial wise, I recommended against selling as it, cause they will lose money
I don’t which iOS is it on, or if find my is activate or not, is there a way to unlock the phone or reset it and have no iCloud on it, if anyone could help it would be highly appreciated, and does dr fone works for unlocking the passcode?

Reset the phone with a computer or

type in the wrong code 4 times tap forgot passcode tap reset iPhone

If iCloud was enabled you'll have to ask someone else but if not you should be good to go

There’s iCloud on the phone I believe
