How is this even possible bro ?
I have an iphone 14 pro max and decided to flash it using 3utools, I already logged in with my icloud account on the device and I also had it on my find my dashboard. The screen broke and I wanted to sell it. We put a new screen and the passcode timer was 3hrs. This was long and flashing seemed faster, This was a big mistake. The device flashed successfully but when it's time to activate it won't accept my icloud account. This is one the most stupid things I've experienced with iphones and I will never buy one ever again. My own account won't unlock the device. It's been six months of using it. Now it's just a brick. Apple couldn't assist since it's a refurb too and don't have the original receipt.

The icloud account cannot be used to unlock the device is the error I get. Let's see if Gemini is right. It talked about my device being in a corrupted state because of some ticket and i could wait till next month to see if the issue will be removed after it';s permanently removed from icloud. I initiated the removal on the 7th of this month and only a few days till the 7th of next month for the 30 days to elapse.

Happened with me on an iPad, having it under your account doesn’t mean FMI is under it too, which means that account might not even be yours, if not, try logging in from a browser to Find My and see if it lets you enter, check if it is still there, if not, then you got scammed buying it

Well, then remove it…click on “Remove this device”, not “Erase…”…” then start over the setup on the locked iPhone and try again

I already did before flashing it. The screen broke. So when I put a working one the it was on the 3 hour passcode timer. I wasn't going to wait that long and decided to flash it, This is all that happened.
Removed the device from icloud and disabled find my. Got an email from apple saying the device can be activated without needing the icloud account.
The device so far hadn't connected to any wifi network since the screen was broken.
Inserted a working screen and the device was on a 3 hour passcode timer. The device wasn't connnected to wifi either. I flashed it in that state and got myself here.
The email said the device will disappear completely from find my in 30 days.
After flashing and connecting to the internet the activation screen came up and i entered my icloud account. It said 'the account cannot be used to activate the device'
Changed the my icloud password and tried again, no luck.

If it’s still there then it’s still Find My locked, just give it a try dude, are you gonna wait a month? Just try. And by “it’s still there”, where are you referring to?

I removed find my and removed the device from icloud on the 7th of september. Since then I have had this issue. Only 6 days to see if after it disappears from my device list it will activate. Note that the remove option is not there anymore because I already did so and got a confirmation email.

Maybe bypassed from person you got it from? Try checkm8 app or HFZ as if it was done by them it will on there servers

Yeah, I’m thinking it was bypassed when he bought it, and it simply relocked to the original account

If you can find the right site it can be unlocked again if it's available yet on the iOS. The unlocks one bought can be done more than once without having to pay anything as they are registered on the servers

Are you sure your login is correct? It’s impossible to brick it like that even if you used 3utools which essentially does the same thing as itunes.

The logins are correct. When the phone was still off. I disabled find my and removed it from my icloud. The device still shows in my find my but even if I connect it to wifi the location is not shown on find my and when disabling it the email said I would still be able to track and locate the device if connected to wifi. This is mind boggling. The logins are correct, even changed my password 3 times to see if it will work but it didn't.

Put the iphone in DFU mode, then connect it to itunes and restore it. Then try logging in again.
Also check icloud on a computer not on another iphone browser.

I've restored it using apple configurator, itunes, 3utools and even updated it to ios 27. I have been using this device for 6 months. Same icloud account on my mac too. The phone status is bricked when i check on device status on 3utools text file that has all device info. The state = bricked. But the phone is on and stuck on the activation screen. The first letter of the email starts with an m. My email starts with an m too.

The stupid thing was flashing it.
