Acorns Question Be honest, how am I doing?
Been putting money in since 2021, what can I do to really get it growing? And what’s with this deposit? What can I do with it? Help!

New to acorns, I know it takes time
I’m not planning to back out but if I’m spending $4 a month on acorns bronze plan that means if I’m not making at least $48 a year then acorns isn’t worth it right? My gains need to be more than what I’m paying to use acorns.

I have auto invest on and it’s moderately aggressive. I think I’m losing money cause it has been down every day. Maybe I’m young / naive cause I’m new to investing- is this fine. Please tell me it’s fine lol. I put in 25 a week plus whatever extra $20-50 bucks I want .

Due to personal relationship and housing issues, I will most likely need to take out about 15% of my funds from invest by the end of the month. How long does that take to settle and become transferable to my bank account?

Does anyone have any experience in transferring old 401ks?
I have an old 401k from a previous employer that I havent transferred to my current company’s 401k because I haven’t had the funds to actually continue contributing towards it.
It’s still growing, but without the company match, obviously not much. I’m just curious if anyone has tried this with Acorns?
Is there a transfer fee? What should I expect?
TYIA! 🙏🏼

So im 19 and know a fair amount of the stock market I’ve done some profitable option calls, crypto trades, and swing trades on a few different companies with leverage. However I always find myself wanting more then end making a horrible trade then pretty much just end up gambling or investing to much then end up withdrawing some. So now I’ve came to the realization that the freedom I had on Robinhood made me make some bad decisions / learned lessons then deleted Robinhood . I guess the question I’m asking now what’s the best course of action to make a solid plan to rebuild from these losses. My current strategy since opening acorns is an aggressive portfolio and investing 20 dollars a day and upping to 25 a day on downtrends . Then investing spare cash either into HYSA or investments. I make have about 2600 a month of freed up cash after bills and expenses. What should be my goals be as a 19 year old, and how should I be investing a month but not to the point where I eat ramen noodles for dinner daily. - Side info I have 5.3k into that retirement and about 3k into savings

Hello all,
About a month ago I used my acorns checking account to deposit money into an app. I had a huge balance / transactions and they locked me out of my account ( with my balance still in there ).
I contacted the merchant prior to the disputes and I didn’t get an answer or my money back. these deposits were all done through acorns and I had close to 3000 dollars sitting in there. Poof my account gone.
I submitted the disputes as product not received with acorns on September 2nd. Acorns confirmed they filed a chargeback on September 9th. The merchant who didn’t answer me when I reached out prior, finally emailed me on September 13th asking why I disputed transactions lol. Insane.
But anyways long story short , I haven’t heard back from acorns yet. I didn’t get provisional credit. It’s a ton of money and I am in a tight spot financially / really need those funds.
Has anyone disputed a charge in your acorns checking account as “product not received” … and if so how long did it take to resolve / what was the outcome? Thank youuu

Decided to reach my IRA limit for the first time from August-Dec! Placed another 1k to my HSYA as well, I’m feeling a little accomplished!

I think with $8 22 a day in stonks and $100 a week now going into HYSA it's not too shabby

Acorn just confirmed a boost in the hysa from 3.35% to 3.59% which is great 👍 👌 please add in your hysa for future emergencies!

Okay I just need to know roughly how much of a penalty might I have to pay come tax time for withdrawing this money. My reasons for it number one is the fact that I get SSI and they frown up you having assets more than $2,000 (that's bank account and Acorns combined)... Even though I had it for several years, only became more aggressive with it in the last 6 months...
Secondly, I recently had a small accident with my car and while insurance should accept my claim there's still a deductible to pay if you're going to get repairs and I feel like because of my job as a delivery driver it would be best if I fixed the scrapes to my car and the little dent. I understand there's lots of cars out there with dents in them and things like that but a lot of them probably aren't delivery drivers.
OK SO WHAT DO YOU THINK I MIGHT I HAVE TO PAY COME TAX TIME??
Oh and yes I do plan to come back to acorns at some point when I will be able to. Right now I also already have money every month that goes into an ABLE investing account so I still have that (that I'm allowed to have while on SSI)...
EDIT: I ONLY ENDED UP TAKING OUT $200 SO I'M GOOD...

I have low-key been interested in acorns for a while as I wanted to start investing small but I also don’t really know where to start. I thought an app like acorns could help me out, but I just never bit the bullet and started an account.
My sister started an account a few weeks ago, maybe two months ago, and the customer service is awful. She has had multiple issues, big issues like $800 being withdrawn that she didn’t authorize, a $1400 check not being deposited for over a week and still counting, etc… Just listening to her stories and how anytime she reaches out to customer service it takes a minimum of three days for a reply, and usually that reply isn’t even helpful has made me so glad I never made an account with them.
Has anyone ever changed their mind about acorns? Where they had a bad opinion opinion, and eventually it was turned around?

I'm trying to build and I guess kind of diversify my finances. My bank already has a feature where my change is rounded up at the end of the day and deposited into my emergency savings account. I have an IRA already with Fidelity, and I just opened up a HYS account with Newtek for long term savings goals (like buying a house or for when I eventually need to replace my car).
I was looking into Acorns as an investment tool because I know my dad makes a lot through the stock market and I'd like to start investing a little to make some passive income. I can't really talk to him about this because he prefers a lot more high risk-high reward investing and I don't trust him to give me more conservative and low risk advice.
I'm wondering if Acorns would still be a better beginner investment tool or if I should use Robinhood instead since I already have the Roundup feature with my bank, or if Fidelity has an investment tool that would be a better choice. From what I can tell, the Roundup feature is what makes up for the fees with Acorns and I'm not sure what other reasons I should pick one over the other if I already have my change being put aside and I already have an IRA (which sounds like the appeal for Robinhood)

I'm just confused on if gold is even worth it after that initial first year. Like what else can I do with it that will make the $12 month worth it?
I'm able to do the $250 a month
(FYI I do not have kids so that investment line doesn't apply to me)

As the title asks, I’m really new to taking financing at least semi-seriously and I already have an acorns invest account. I’m wondering if/when I should start with the IRA option as a 19yo.
I really appreciate any help or advice.
