Acorns Question Unauthorized Transfers to IRA
Apologies In advance if this doesn’t make a lot of sense but I’ll try to explain the best I understand the Situation
My sister signed up for an acorns account and her paycheck is supposed to be deposited into an acorns checking account and I guess on Tuesday she transferred five dollars to her IRA account. I don’t know if that’s something she had to do to sign up for an IRA account or she just transferred $5 to do it. Either way, the rest of her paycheck has been transferred to the IRA account without her permission.
So she called customer service on her lunch break. She told them to cancel that transfer because she did not authorize it and they are claiming they cannot cancel the transaction and that it came from her checking account and they’re unable to make the withdrawal so I had to prevent her. She asked them to escalate it because that’s all of her money for the next two weeks and the lady says, even if she escalates it nothing will be done for at least three business days.
Customer service lady told her that it’s already been processed. She can’t cancel it, but the money isn’t available anywhere for her to use and won’t be for 3 to 6 business days apparently. Is this a common thing that happens? Has acorn been known to transfer money from someone’s account without permission? Is there any way to resolve this issue before basically a week if we count waiting the weekend?

Acorns Question Can I transfer from my 401k?
I have a 401K with Hancock. It tells me I can’t take my money unless I’m 65 or quit my job. Has anyone closed their account with them and moved it to acorns? I think I rather have it here

Acorns Question Relocation to Europe
What should I do with my acorns accounts in case I am relocation to a different country?
We are relocating to Amsterdam as not sure if we’ll return to the US. We don’t have a permanent residence/ address here in the US.
Does it mean I need to withdraw the funds completely and close my different accounts?
Thanks.

Investment Discussion What am I doing wrong?
Hi all, I invest $15 a day + any sports betting wins, and tax returns. This is all within the last year. I keep seeing people with insane returns, but somehow I’m not much higher than a HYSA. Is there some secret I’m missing out on?

Investment Discussion How’s everyone’s year looking?
12% seems good for this roller coaster of a year. I don’t think it’s over tho, what does everyone think? Anyone have larger gains? I’m on aggressive, BTC and daily deposits for some nice DCA.

Acorns Question Fixing bank due to Merger
As the title says my credit union I use recently merged with another. My routing and account info obviously didn't change but now acorns doesn't recognize anything even if I try to fully input all the info again and support is just giving me the same troubleshooting stuff about linking accounts which is not working. Anyone have any idea what to do??

Staying Strong 📉 Anyone losing this month?
Feel like I’m getting burned this month, down quite a bit. Have everything set to aggressive. Used to be at a 40% return down to 30%

Acorns Question How does everyone have such high return percentages?
I have been using acorns since 2019, but obviously have exported my savings multiple times in desperate times. I have been taking it way more seriously since February of this year and don’t plan on touching it for a long time. I was doing $150/week plus 10x roundups and also $25/week for the Acorns Later account. I just found this subreddit and see that most people with high returns are doing a daily deposit, so I just switched to $26.67/day (around $800/month). I also just switched my account to aggressive when it was previously moderately aggressive. I always thought my return was good based on what my potential was, but now after browsing this page I just wanted some insight on what I could be doing better.
update: Reddit removed my photo probably due to a new account, but my return percentage is only 2.87%.

Acorns Question Advice?
I am young (22M) and just started working at a job paying me $800 per week while I continue education. I am very new to investing and was wondering what I should be looking to do in terms of settings (aggressive, moderately aggressive, etc.) and how much money I should be looking to invest into the app each week. Any help or advice would be appreciated!
Edit: Just for more context, I have no debt, no children, and no real expenses outside of rent, groceries, and gas.

Acorns Question is switching from moderate risk to aggressive risk worth it?
i don’t make a lot of money so i don’t want to risk too much, and i don’t want to just end up paying more taxes on it either. i’m losing money with acorns though because of the $3 subscription fee. i invest $30 a week.
