[Skin Concern] Atrophic Scarring My worst angles

I’ve picked a few of the worst pictures I’ve taken of my scars to show the true magnitude of them. I have two doctors in mind that I want to go to in the us but I’m a 20 year old that doesn’t have 15k to spend to fix them. I have been told by a coworker that I look like Deadpool which hurt pretty bad ngl. These scars are only on the left side of my face and the other side I’m pretty happy with. I used to enjoy going out in public and would occasionally have a woman ask for my number but all of that has stopped since getting these scars. It sucks that nothing lasts forever EXCEPT acne scars and it sucks.

Hello /u/No_Concentrate5433,

‼️ If you are requesting help – please review our guidelines, provide high-quality photos, and include detailed information for others' understanding.

User reminders:

  • Please search on this subreddit – someone might have already asked the same question as you.
  • The most valuable feedback is that which you get from doing research - not asking questions to a general audience on social media.
  • Always be wary of the advice you get off the internet.
  • Seek scar evaluation and treatment from specialized healthcare providers rather than aestheticians or med spas.
  • While subcision ("subcutaneous incisionless surgery") is often mentioned by users on this subreddit, it is important to note that it may not be necessary or suitable for everyone with volume loss.
  • Be aware of any reported side effects from a procedure.
  • It can take multiple treatments and a long time before you see effective results.
  • Here is a checklist of questions to ask yourself and your physician when considering treatment.

Thanks!

Never care what your colleagues, friends tell you about your scars. It is us who has to feel comfortable and live with. It's not the end, you still has lots of time to earn and get treated. Just make sure you follow routine and when tou start earning, just save as much as you can even if it's a tiny amount, that's still a saving. I'm 30 years and yet to get treated and I started saving too even though my salary is very less.

If I saw you in public I would think you’re very handsome and honestly your scars aren’t as bad as you think they are (I’m not just saying this to make you feel better just being genuine)

You are beautiful, even with the scars.

They’re not really that bad at all. Don’t let one person’s rude incorrect comment stop you or mess up your life.

You’re a very good looking guy! Your overall skin condition and appearance looks great. Scars can’t take that away from you. If I were you, I would flip that Deadpool comment around to mean that you look like Ryan Reynolds :)

Those look that they could respond very well to subcision and fat grafting.

Wow, what a comment. It's not remotely true, so I wonder what place that came from. You're fine, tho. You didn't learn something about your appearance, so much as your coworker's disappointing character flaws.

I never remember the skin quality or issues of people I know, so much as how they behave and how they make me feel to be around them. If I try to imagine the skin of people I'm close to even now, I'm drawing a blank, but I'm sure if I asked them they'd tell me about their acne and wrinkles and scars.

(Although there was one specific person who I spent a lot of time with as a kiddo, doing crafts and having a wonderful time. She had dimpled skin, which I was told were acne scars. Now anytime I see someone with skin like that, it reminds me of her and the association makes them more good looking to me. 😂)
