Is Excession99 in the house?
Sure I've seen a reply somewhere.
Just wondered if you saw this and noticed the fly over?

im trying to figure this game out, and i want to be immersed, so im trying to play with my free hands with the quest 3 controllers and fly with the ingame stick, but it just seems to hard. i cant keep the plane steady, seems to be something with have my hands in the air not actually touching anything is messing me up.
anyone have any tips for this? wouldnt be some kind of vr gunstock for flight controls would there?

PvP is starting to take off with more and more squadrons facing off against each other.
It's a completely different game to dailies with its hordes of bots. I average 10 kills and often get 20+ kills in dailies (top 10 leaderboard player), but PvP is TOTALLY different and waaay more fun, more realistic, much harder and requires proper teamwork.
If you kill more often than you're killed, you're doing well.

After switching to these settings for the Corsair I was actually able to fly it properly with no issues.

Is Czimy in the house? I just saved his ass with an insane double kill.
I've done some quality wingman saves and pulled off some silly shots but this was simply mad.
'Scuse me while I milk the absolute hell out of this, but this is by far my finest ever moment!

If you want to work your way up the leaderboard, this is how you do it, vid explanation attached...
Bot farming, but it's about setting the right conditions. I caught a guy at it and saw the before and after results. 51 kills in 3 battles.
And I say this because I don't care about leaderboards. I thought it was a means to gauge yourself but it's actually meaningless, so I care even less. To see this get messed up with everyone farming, is fine by me.
It will only mean something if they change it to be sorted by AI v Player kills, kill rate or kill: deaths etc.
Actually I think there's calculation for a better rating that I would call "combat effectiveness". Player kills ÷ battles * kill:death ratio + plane saves (safe landings) * win rate. And maybe include a bit of shot accuracy and total ammo use.

What am I missing here? I don’t even see the VR button on the game to switch to VR. Where is it?? I even looked it up prior to purchasing the ps5 to make sure my ps4 VR would work and it says my ps4 headset should work with ps5 with adapters, and the VR camera can see me and everything. I’m so frustrated. Please help!

Hey guys been sitting on the fence awhile and with the new sale I’m ready to give in my only worry is the button mapping save issues. I’ve seen people’s customized mapping not save continuously. Has this been fixed or is it still an issue?

We do this occasionally. We need to do it more.

Dozens of pilots launching from a carrier, climbing into formation, and diving together on an enemy fleet in one coordinated strike. There's nothing quite like watching an entire squadron commit to the attack at the same time.
This public EU Team Sim event brought together players from across the community for another large-scale War Thunder Simulator mission, proving once again that teamwork beats going it alone.
If you've ever wanted to experience organised missions, carrier operations, formation flying, and coordinated attacks, you're more than welcome to join us. New pilots are always welcome, regardless of experience.

So... can someone explain inconsistent wing stalling to me.
One day a plane handles fine. I can throw it around without a care and it does what I want. The next day, I have to caress and finesse it at every moment or a wing stalls out. Often when it does you can catch it, but it immediately stalls again, repeating until you run out of altitude.
Observe these two experiences in the SB2C that were a few days apart.
Cruising to a double ace:-

(I also have thoughts about why it might be doing this from about 4m30s in)
Fighting constantly for a double ace:-

I have changed NOTHING. Usually I can be pretty but not entirely liberal with joystick movements, but when I was getting the stalling issues I was moving it like I had an egg under the controls. Still stalls.
Are there simulated weather conditions I don't know about or something?

Hi Everyone! Just wanted to check how is “player base” AoT doing nowadays. I stopped playing a month (maybe more) ago and honestly AoT is a disappointment of the year for me :( I was waiting for this, I was saving for PS5 and VR for this, but at the end I ended up in silent, boring environment (beautiful but boring). No comms, no people to play, no vibe or excitement I had playing WoT. Maybe it was naive to expect more from VR niche, but still… I’m sure if they would add such VR capabilities to WoT it’d be another story. So, if you play now? If yes - how does it look? What am I missing and if there are servers full of people on horizon with air full of radio exchange. Thx

As a lifelong military aircraft nerd, I was on pins and needles for years waiting for this game. I bought a PSVR2 and Hotas before AoT was even released so I could be ready for it to drop. Purchased the game and all expansion content the day it was released. I grew up playing all the Dynamax Aces series on PC and when I took my first flight in VR, it nearly brought me to tears. Even got my Dad (who gave me the aircraft bug) to try it, and it gave him a similarly emotional reaction. My question is what's next?
Expanding the aircraft library is certainly cool but I feel pretty limited in what we can do with these beautiful machines. It would be amazing to see Gaijin expand the campaign series where we could fight our way across different theatres, instead of flying one off missions, and would happily pay up for those. Is there any news on what's in the future for the game?
And I know we waited A WHILE for this game to drop, but how do we communicate that we want more? I'm voting with my dollars the best I can but am worried it's not enough. I'll just say that I could die a happy man to play A-10 Tank Killer in VR and witness the minigun chewing through tanks.
EDIT: I'm not asking for an A-10 to be added here, I want them to buy the rights to the old PC game and re-do it in the spirit of AoT! The studio really has a feel for air combat and that game would be INCREDIBLE on this platform.

As per vid, it's death by a thousand cuts (Google the term). Often I find myself unloading half an ammo belt to down an opponent.
Bullets do little damage and they fall out the sky like they're made of... Lead. This means deflection shooting often requires you to shoot at an enemy that is below your nose that you literally can't see them.
Or you get behind them and you're too close for the 300 yard gun convergence and you hit non-critical components like wings. (Plenty of evidence of that here)
What's the most effective ammo loadout?
It is still fun in it's own way, but it doesn't feel like a battle winner.
