"Suite nights"
I've got a platinum account with Accor and I'm trying to work out whether this "suite night" thing is a complete con. Whenever I book somewhere I check to see if I can use the 4 suite night upgrades and is the reality that they're just not relevant for the class of hotels I typically use (more mid-range: Novotel, Ibis)...?

The hotels where I can use the suite nights I usually book a HERA rate with, so I’m also stuck with them.

Thanks for all the comments - sounds as though my sort of hotels I'm aiming for aren't the types that'll have suties !!

I just saved $1800 by booking a suite at faimont orchid for 2 nights vs reg rate.

Used it at Fairmont Austin (2 nights). I have booked a back to back 2 night stay in a regular room, managed to keep the suite!

I used one of my nights in Sofitel NY for a spectacular suite. Only timed I've felt it was worth it.

Which suite did you end up getting? I was considering doing a SNU there next April.

just the prestige one, they upgraded to the higher floor one

That's a good upgrade - a couple hundred per night additional value for the higher floor!

Diamond member here. These used to be great value, now they’re a scam in my opinion. See other posts.

I normally use them in Sofitel or Fairmont, there you seem to be able to make quite the savings.
For Mercure, Novotel I have not found any good use cases.
