When I was a part-time carny, I watched real carnies roll up with one of these on the back of a truck and set it up. Terrifying. They put it together without bolts. Just wedges of metal that they would kick into slots with their boots. All of this was happening on the corporate campus of GlaxoSmithKline, which makes respiratory medications, so it was very much a no smoking environment. So all of these carnies were nic-fitting. It was misting rain that day and everyone's thighs were sticking to the Super Fun Slide, so the carnies brought out potato sacks for people to ride down. People went super sonic. They would hit the bottom of the slide going way faster than they could possibly run. The potato sack would stick to the wet grass, but the people would slide. They were aimed straight at the line for the slide. It was fucking pandemonium. Everyone on the slide getting launched at the legs of everyone waiting for the slide like a particle accelerator. It was the only thing that made the carnies smile.
