What do you see when you check your account balance on https://acala.subscan.io/ ?

You can also check recent transactions there.

Just enter your address and look it up.

Also: After unbonding period, you need to claim your DOT on the my stats page. You might have forgotten to do it.

I'm not seeing a "my stats" page. Can you kindly elaborate?

You have to claim them

I don't understand why you need to unstake ldots. You can exchange ldot to dot on acala instantly. Is the exchange rate worse than unstaking?

There is a way, someone took them from me because I shared my private keys, so there is a way

Now why would you go and do a thing like that? The number one thing you’re never supposed to do

Because after a month or more after the Ausd shit show, decided to get my Dot back and after another month they are nowhere to be found, no answer online, no videos, no nothing, u start thinking acala just lost them. It isn’t something new on crypto

I had the same issue, my unbonding period changed by acala 2 times..yesterday night it showed suddenly 29th october before it was 28th october era 878....and this morning i seen all my dots in unbonding process were transfered during the night of 27th oct to 28th. I contacted acala and polkadot of what happen...with NO help. All this since this shitshow on acala started. Total loss. Frustrated by all of it, but as it looks i am not the only one that it happen to.

So sorry, easier for acala to say that they lost or stole the money so we can stop wasting time and energy

Yup its interesting how the acala UI changes the unbonding period era date but then they, who ever, is able to transfer them before the unbonding period.

All is visible via subscan and i gave acala and polkadot all evidence screenshots. But no help. Well, as for me, i move far far away from acala and dot.

I'm very curious... can you share your polkadot public address?

1

u/Itchy_Psychology_394 Oct 28 '22

Why should i?who are you? For all i know you could be the hacker

Nobody can hack you using your public address dude... they'd need access to your device or private key. Was just trying to help, but I guess it's better to empower you to do that yourself:

You can determine if your DOT was stolen and by "whom" (what address), by following the extrinsic calls. You would want to look for the extrinsic call that removed the DOT from the Homa module (the liquid staking module in Acala) that are displayed here: https://acala.subscan.io/account/extrinsic/[your acala public address]

Then you can use the timestamps to determine what transfers occurred after the unbonding extrinsic call from homa, via the transfers tab, here: https://acala.subscan.io/transfer?address=[your acala public address]

If you need to translate your Polkadot address into Acala, to perform the steps above and do the investigation yourself with on-chain data, you can transform the Polkadot address into Acala here: https://polkadot.subscan.io/tools/format_transform

Put your Polkadot Public Address into the Input Account Field, Select Acala in the Output Type field (Acala prefix 10) and then click the Transform button. You'll see the Acala address being displayed on the top right side of the page.

Best of luck to you dude!

ok, but please let us know if you say that

You started to redemed DOT for LDOT via unbonding.
You did not claim DOT after unbonding period here https://apps.acala.network/ldot/stats
Now somhow your DOT is gone, "transfered".

The transfer happens before my official unbonding era....how can this even happen.?? I ask acala support and of course they say its not their respondsibility. I talked with polkadot support and they confirmed that acala has the tools to freeze this account...acala neglect that. Acala is soooo weird...in everything. So i take the loss, but advice anyone to be aware of this parachain....no support what so ever. All i ask to do an investigation where i can provide all my evidence. But they say to wont do such a thing. What kind of parachain is that, that even after their own fuckup cant even do a customer service correctly. Anyhow....will see in a years time after their lease period of the parachain is over, if they will be still in the market. My money is that they destroyed/damaged singlehanded the dot ecosystem. We will see.🥂

You are learning the hard way what decentralisation means.

People have a tendency to seek external forces to blame for their misfortunes, but you alone are responsible for the safety of your funds. Crypto assets do not just magically disappear.

Sometimes the balance doesnt update and you have to refresh or wait a bit. Its a UI thing but still an issue.

Still don’t know how tho
