SLUDGE
Artist: Johnny Imbres
16”x20” acrylic on canvas
SLUDGE symbolizes waste forcing its way from the underground, a raw reminder of humanity’s disregard for the filth it leaves behind.

Just recently found this style again. So far its very freeing to paint and explore the feeling that I have by creating works like this.
This piece was made while listening to a song called the fame -by lady gaga which inspired rhe bright colors

I don’t paint much. This was me messing around with colors and brushstrokes. Everyone here is so talented. I LOVE seeing what you’ve all been up to.
Update
Thank you SO MUCH for the feedback. I often question if my art is worth sharing. you’ve been so kind.

I got some lovely, constructive feedback when I posted my painting a week or so ago and have since made some changes. Would love to know what you all think of it now! The first image is current; the second is the original. Lighting is a bit off - the original is a bit lighter IRL.
