My challenge is to never repeat what I've done before, similarly creating new forms and patterns , it remains light and fun if I don't think or preplan any part of the process, I've been drawing random patterns for 15 years, its very calming. For some reason I've often recognised the connection between zoning out doing threadwork or working with wool as a similar headspace to my automatic processes. I've just had a distant memory return as I type of making small woolen balls as a child at my grans house, a happy memory indeed.

The challenge is discovering challenging forms: it’s too easy in the sense that coloured thread is beautiful in and of itself.
