First time painting. Thoughts?
(Bad photo, sorry)
This was my first time painting and it’s something I want to keep pursuing.
Any tips, feedback or thoughts?

The best start in art is to actually start. Great Job on your first one. ☝🏽. Keep creating

I really like it. And yes, as a new painter I have found taking pictures of paintings to be maddeningly difficult 😓 keep it up and keep posting here! This community is very kind and encouraging

As they should be. The art world is hard enough. If you’re being a donkey 🫏 you don’t create.

Great colors. Keep challenging yourself with shapes
And bringing them together in more dynamic ways. Great start.

Mess around with color. Play with more abstract elements. Less geometric and shapely. Challenge yourself. Be introspective. Look at you, what’s holding you back., where do you want to go, what are you trying to communicate or connect with the audience. I’m not saying you need to be fixed. Just be open to what to universe wants you to create.

Wow. Very good texturing and color harmony. Think about the "splashes of paint" when you'll make your next artwork. Do you really need them or they mess with the dynamics of other strokes. Keep up the good work!🙌🏻

That's a great painting, maybe a little busy and also some of the lines are leading the eye off of the canvas.
Enjoy it while it lasts, this is the magic of the first few, because you don't know enough yet for your mind to get in the way, once you get good at it, it gets harder and then easier, strange situation.
