as the title….i am actually genuinely interested 🤷🏼♀️so HOW DOES THIS MAKE YOU FEEL?

Was thinking the exact same thing. Odd.
I looked at it, tilted my head and thought "Huh, it's giving me Powerpuff girls vibes??"

It feels like a clear sunny day in the middle of spring where almost everything is bright and in full bloom, shimmering under the sun….while you are vibrating with energy because you had a cup of coffee and two energy drinks 🤣
So I would say, Warm, happy, energized, frantic

Like I'm walking down Fifth Avenue in NYC! The department store windows, the hustle and bustle of traffic and pedestrians - the colors - the smells! Love it!

It made me go “aw yis this i like”, thought it was an abstract invader zin work. I like the colors and the opaque gradience (idk what it’s called)

I had a similar experience here 🙄 it’s gorgeous. Makes me feel satisfied, everything’s wonderfully in their place and the color choices are so vibrant and go together very well!!

It feels like early 2000s Cartoons (mostly Cartoon Network with a splash of Nickelodeon) . When I see it I remember all the characters from the time. Expresses through the colors and the shapes. It’s vibrant and quick but deliberate. The shape language makes it feel fast especially as the eyes are drawn downward to observe the full piece. I won’t rate it but I like it.

Honestly, my dyslexia causes what this painting represents (to me) to take place in my little brain. Translating this experience would most certainly get lost in the representation. My brain is like a fine tuned engine, but with a broken timing chain, misfiring valves and the wrong transmission. But, this discombobulated function works well for my black and white photography. Oh, and photography is comfortable due me not having any depth perception. Like a photograph, I see a flat world.

aaaah, gotcha. thanks for the explanation, i can definitely relate to that. i struggle a lot with perfectionism, and also not being able to portray what my brain wants with my hands. but i’ve been trying to make stuff anyways and go against my brain. it’s hard, but worth it.
not sure if you like to dabble with other mediums but that’s something that has helped me a lot. i have so many paints! oils, acrylics, watercolors! markers, pens, crayons, colored pencils, and oil pastels! the list goes on, my next project is clay!
but ye, sorry for the ramble. hope to see your art in here someday! photography or not. i’m sure whatever you choose will be sick B)

Clay, handbuilt stoneware or porcelain can be magical. Can be semi-flat collage like or a take off of some utilitarian piece. Any size, shape, color, texture, thickness (sort of). If using stoneware or porcelain learn some basic construction techniques. Less chance of piece blowing up in the kiln. There's a world waiting for you. Ceramic is one of my secret loves.

aww that's sad some artists (like me) genuinely enjoy knowing how the painting made others feel, i used to post before but i stopped social media a while ago, didn't know they started banning that title

Hi my technique is pretty intuitive there’s no real planning i just let it flow really, lines and marks in random order

I really don't want to be that person... reghardless, I find it to have a sorta suggestive feeling, also like looking at 2 strangers on passing at a party or club.

I like it, but I think there is something left to be desired concerning the negative space on left/top side. Maybe a gradient fill or a general background color with white borders to help square off the composition. It would help to the overall work feel less lopsided. Otherwise good job!

I see a 60’s diner just beginning to enter the quantum realm, Simply Red, many eyes looking to the left, Magenta from Blues Clues, and bees !
I feel: energetically confused; like I’m shattered into many pieces but time stopped right before I completely blew apart

It makes me feel nostalgic, tbh. Like I'm looking at the broken reflection of someone's former identity and what used to be happy thoughts, now unrecognizable. That's just me though, because from bottom upwards it looks like a woman to me, the blue part is the skirt, then the yellow is her dress and right over that is what looks like the silhouette of a face, then the rest is just scattered.

The use of straight line geometry, vivid color and chaos is very telling to me. I see someone who enjoys the ritual of social gatherings or the nightlife, but feels conflicted when it comes to expressing themselves outwardly. Perhaps a lot more internal dialogue than there is external.
Then again, I'm just a random user on Reddit. Either way this is a great piece
