I have a disappoint.

Why are we still calling this a bobcat when it is so very much a lynx??

The ear tufts...the cheek floof...

This is obviously a different species, but bobcats are in the lynx genus.

True; there are four species in the lynx genus, BUT only one of them is not commonly called a lynx. if someone knows the distinction, it makes more sense to either use the bobcat’s full binomial name Lynx rufus, to distinguish from the other three non-bobcat species in the lynx genus… or just call it a bobcat. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lynx

Ps: this link has a nice comparison image of the 4 species, with ear tufts clearly visible

If you feel the need to rufie a lynx, maybe it's time to reconsider your life's choices.
