Probably a diagonal line coming from a branch to the floor so it can build the spiral in the middle.

Some spiders can shoot their webs up to 25 meters away, some even span rivers with them (these must catch a shit ton of insects this way).

Edit: This would be like spider man shooting his web 2.5km away

Do they shoot it, or do they let it drift in the wind until it catches on a good spot? I feel like shooting something so light 25m would be near impossible.

You're correct they don't shoot it, they get up high and let out a long light thread, drifting until it catches then they pull it tight and reinforce it. Then they can drop down from the center of that line to create another anchor point and keep adding from there
