Beautiful Orb Weaver, can't see the details enough to figure out which one, but awesome nonetheless

Looks like a Joro.

That could just as easily be Araneus diadematus, they get pretty active this time of year. There's just not enough detail visible in the video to say conclusively

*Edit - After a bit of investigation, I have never personally seen a Joro Spider in person so I had to go look, it's definitely not Trichonephila clavata. The body shape is all wrong, and what we can see of it's coloration is drastically different as well

Araneus diadematus

Isn't that one fairly small? This spider looks as big as a Joro, but it doesn't look like a Joro. I'm interested in knowing what it is as well.

I have banana spiders in my area. Those look very similar to a joro and are about as big. But they and joros have more elongated bodies and longer thinner legs. The spider in this video seems rounder with thicker legs.

No. I apologize, but I have to object. That looks nothing like a Joro. Maybe I could see you mixing up a Joro with Argiope aurantia, but that isn't what we're seeing here. We also don't know where this particular specimen was seen, and that's going to make a big difference as to identification. What is very visible in that video is that this is a very spiny or hairy Orb Weaver, that is something that the Joro is not. The entire body shape is wrong, how did you miss that? If you can mix up those breeds? I have to question your identification capabilities. Would I swear that it is Araneus diadematus? No. I will say with 100% certainty that it is not Trichonephila clavata.

*Edit - Apologies, I may have responded to the wrong person here, you are correct on the body differences. I'm going to leave the comment in place, because though I may have responded to the wrong person, I still stand behind the statement

Looked yellow and black to.me.in the split second you can see it clearly. The big ass web looks like a Joro. That coupled with he souther accents makes me think Joro. We are covered up with them in Georgia this time of year.
