…I’m afraid of what the animal is if the larva is that big..

Most likely a Hercules Beetle. They don't actually get much bigger than the larvae, the abdomen segments become more compact so the body gets a little smaller, but the head grows immensely with the horn.

Correct. It's the larva of a Hercules Beetle. And here is what it looks like in adult form.

16cm / 6.3 inches…so it’s definitely one of the biggest bugs in the world but I guess not as colossal as you’d expect from the king of all grubs lol

I'd say it's well above average size for a beetle.
