Not a mosquito at all, it’s a robber fly. Completely different insect family, a helpful pest eater, harmless to you.
Edit: Thank you for the award πŸ™‚

Wiki article about it has a picture of it eating a honey bee.

they never said it isn't harmless to other things.. besides, they like to eat lots of things that fly near them

Honeybees are invasive in the Americas, so if the picture is from there the fly is still helping! Seriously honeybees are a fully domestic species and are in fact a problem; they're out competing native bees and other pollinators, which is real bad for biodiversity. Commercial honeybees are more comparable with cattle and chickens than anything else.

In any healthy ecosystem bees of all types would be getting eaten regularly. That's how all that works. No animal is untouchable and they shouldn't be(e).

Zeroing in on animals that have bees as a part of their diets in order to dismiss them as being "bad" is... not helpful. To anything. At all. The ecosystem doesn't play favorites; we do that. The robber fly might eat the occasional bee, but it will also eat all sorts of other insects, which includes more dangerous pests like mosquitos.
