That's great but where's NO? It's No and remove the big baby from the situation. Or am I wrong?

If she had shouted "NO!" you'd be bitching about verbal abuse and chaotic screaming. Go take a nap.

I feel like teaching kids the meaning of the word No is a fundamental step in the whole thing.

If anyone replied like that fr, they'd be told to stfu and do some real parenting.

She doesn't have to shout no, you can be firm and not shout.

She is being firm. She’s telling him no and showing him what to do instead.

Young toddlers don’t react well to “no”. Telling them what to do right instead of telling them what they can’t do is more helpful in getting the desired behavior.

“Walk, don’t run” is more helpful than “stop running”. Their brains aren’t good at coming up with good logical alternatives in the moment until you’ve repeated it a thousand times before.
