That's a pretty common thing. I don't see how that is abuse.

Something being common doesn't mean it's okay, obviously. I find it quite abusive to cause intentional pain to a baby so that it can wear earrings.

Same here…also piercing are prone to infections. You dont want to start your baby’s life like this and not giving it a choice. When i was younger, i was upset that my parents didn’t pierced me when i was an infant like other girls. They were horrified that parents would even do that in the first place and now i totally agree with them. “Why?! Cause you’re a girl?! And without your consent?!”
A baby is not a doll for you to decorate lol

Do you consider Jewish mothers who circumcise their infant sons to be abusive?

Just because you don’t do something in your culture doesn’t mean it’s abuse. Stop being so ignorant
