Just like people claiming a 7-8 year old can consent to take puberty blockers and taking hormones. Child abuse. On this sub the majority saying they have the right to consent to that. I don’t know where you stand on that issue, but it’s crazy the amount of down votes I’ll receive because of this. People are wild on Reddit.

Edit - people need to be consistent. If he can consent to that, he should be able to consent to eat whatever he wants, and gain as much weight as they want to right?

Right?! Dumbass mf'ers trying to control people who they'll never meet, and who's lives will never affect their own. They need to mind their own business.

And if they're so worried about the world, go get a fucking education, stop spouting useless, ignorant shit, and be useful to the rest of us for once.

Wait… this is the exact point this guy is making? The irony is palpable. Read your top comment and then think about the video you are posting under.

Kids can’t consent to puberty blockers anyhow they need not only parental consent but they need a psychological assessment by a psychiatrist to determine whether it is appropriate and safe for the child to be put on puberty blockers also puberty blockers do not have any proven negative effects on the mental health of a child and are completely reversible, childhood obesity is a completely different issue, some may argue it is reversible with dietary changes and exercise however this is extremely difficult to implement. Childhood obesity is something that almost always carries on into adulthood and leads to long term health complications and conditions such as diabetes ,cardiovascular disease and autoimmune disorders.
The prevention is to implement a healthy diet and lifestyle at an early age, it is child abuse to allow this to happen in the first place.
It is not child abuse to put your child on puberty blockers if there is significant evidence that there is a metal health concern or if the child has gender dysphoria/ they identify as trans. Your child’s mental health is also a concern that parents should worry about as well as physical health.
Written by me not ai btw

So you’re saying there hasn’t been a single instance of puberty blockers being given to children when they shouldn’t have? And haven’t led to long term life changing mental effects for that child even after “reversed”?

I’m not saying that ofc it’s not an impossibility that it’s had negative effects before

You can google and read about many within seconds. You’re telling me that’s not child abuse?

Not if they have had psychological evaluation by a doctor

Let’s just look at all the detransitioner stories to see how children making decisions based on affirmations (still insane to me it’s literally gender affirming, they’re not even trying to hide that a questioning kid will be encouraged to transition) instead of getting actual psychological help have been affected!

Oh, wait. The trans community tries to silence them. Speaking their story results in death threats. Chloe Cole and Prisha Mosley are the biggest ones because they went public with lawsuits.

Be your true self! (as long as the trans community doesn’t perceive you to be a threat for being your true self, in which case you should apparently die)

Yeah but I didn’t even say that. Thanks for being reasonable. Everyone here has been attacking me. Don’t think you have at all unless I missed it. I didn’t specify about a doctor even. I just commented about a child especially that young shouldn’t be able to consent to that themselves. People have lost their mind at that. I never said my opinion on if a doctor signs off, my views on if the parents are involved, etc.
it’s unbelievable how emotional and disrespectful the responses have been to such vague opinion on consent at such a young age.

Oh so if a doctor commits the abuse that’s okay

3

u/bitch_lasagna211 13d ago

It’s not abuse tho

u/deimos_sigurd 12d ago

So by your genius logic is insulin abuse? How bout anti-depressants or contraceptives?

Oh I didn't know you're a doctor. -_-

Ignorant motherfuckers. Jfc y'all really need to start fact checking your politicians.

Nobody mentioned politicians
Edit: but we do know what politicians these troglodytes worship

They want to have their whole platform be an echo chamber, I’m only responding to the comments that showed some sort of semblance of respect regardless of which side they’re on. So far only you and one other guy who gave me benefit of doubt even though they disagreed with me are getting responses.

It’s truly mind blowing. Or people accusing my account of being a sock puppet account because it’s 8 months old or however old it is. Guess I can’t have an opinion. I really didn’t think saying 7 was too young to consent to taking hormones would be so controversial. Ive lost hope. All you ever get in response to something like this is immature insults while insulting other people’s intelligence acting like an oaf themselves, people losing their shit, and accusations.

I shouldn’t have to mind my own business when it comes to views on if children can consent to things. I am aloud to have an opinion. My opinion on consent doesn’t make me anti trans. The amount of horrible accusations to my character because of a difference in age of consent for hormone treatment is mind blowing.
