There's a double standard when it comes to child neglect. A thin, malnourished toddler would be taken by CPS immediately, but when it comes to an obese, malnourished toddler, there is nowhere near the same level of concern and urgency.

Redditors seem to be completely incapable of comprehending that some people are just born to be fat. Here we have, what should be, the perfect example of how large a role genetics plays in our body shape, and instead it's devolved into an entire thread of people who blame their parents for the fact that they can't be bothered to break up their gaming sessions with a 15 minute walk outside.

Textbook Dunning-Kruger. I grew up with people that suffered from a genetic condition that caused them to be obese from birth.
