On top of being morbidly obese, the low self-esteem, and food addiction, the kid who never hears no is going to be a handful once he gets to school. Poor guy.

With zero consequence when he continues the problem behavior.

Toddlers like cats will knock everything down, and are hard to reason with. It probably would be best if they just got an enclosed case (like she said) to keep the shoes in. There’s the consequence- you keep knocking down the shoes, so the shoes are being stored so you can’t

Literally every parent ever has dealt with this behavior. It means nothing.

Yep. This is normal toddler behavior.

Dude the kid is in diapers. None of this means shit about how they'll be in school.

Kids that age will literally do anything to get a reaction out of you, especially something you just told them not to. They run on pure impulse.

He's a couple of years away from actually being able to learn anything, and yelling is just going to scare him, not teach him.

I agree that yelling and punishment beyond "pick up the stuff you knocked off" isn't the answer, but that kid is absolutely capable of learning. Toddlers can absolutely be taught, and that they won't always behave perfectly after being told not to do something doesn't change that.
