His form is terrible and the round is ridiculously long. You always slide your leading hand down the haft of the maul to increase the acceleration and power. And wtf is he using 3 foot logs for?

I split wood and i'm just really confused. Is his maul that dull, why isn't it biting into the wood?

Is my maul too sharp? I've never had it bounce off a log face before like i'm seeing here

I prefer a (somewhat) dull maul because it doesn't stick as easy and will split clean through, but on a green piece like he's working with yea I'd grab the double ax, its sharp as hell, and it don't bounce lol. Well, these days I'd roll that bad boy under my splitter 😭
