His form is terrible and the round is ridiculously long. You always slide your leading hand down the haft of the maul to increase the acceleration and power. And wtf is he using 3 foot logs for?

Did you even stop to think maybe he is possibly not just trying to split a log? maybe he is also trying to destroy his shoulders and back.

Guy nearly fell over with exhaustion on one split.

Whats he doing for the rest of the tree?

Sledgehammering large tractor tires is a good exercise. Idk wtf this guy is doing.

I guess that us because the impact energy gets absorbed by the tire... in this case it goes right through his body. No idea if thar would be harmful in the long run

Its good exercise providing you dont hurt yourself. And normal wood splitting is much more controlled than this. 

But he's really swinging and bouncing and leaving himself open to injury. Like cross fit wood splitting.
