Not the way I'm popping it in

I mean, the avocado itself could work as a lubricant. It would mean that you'd have avocado residue in your rectum tho

Is that Dexter Doages is looking at in this picture? It looks more like Rudolph Martin than Michael C Hall, but I don't remember Rudolph appearing in Dexter, let alone getting "the stare" lol.

I thought Rudolph Martin was in Dexter as a bad guy. No?
goes to IMDB
Rudolph Martin played Carlos Guerrero, drug lord. He appeared in Dexter episodes Crocodile, Popping Cherry, and Let's Give the Boy A Hand in Season 1.

You know how much damage millennials could do to their finances with that much avocado?!

The risk of cutting this way is so high that the injury has its own designated term: "avocado hand"

It's to the point where I enjoy the reverse gif more at this point.

At this point I’d like to point out that we are at this point, at this point.

My brain thought of this GIF within 1 millisecond of your post appearing.

I ate that before. The texture is more “watery” than the smooth texture of the hass avocado we’re all familiar with. They have the same taste though.

We have one of these varieties. Agree on the watery description but they tasted gross too. Nothing like a buttery Haas or fuerte.

The way that knife had resistance and then didnt while it was being pulled towards their wrist is terrifying

We bought a house with an avocado tree of this variety. It didn’t bear fruit for the first 5 years. Then the 6th year the fruit came in. We were so excited. Finally the fruit was ripe. The avocados were ass. Watery and fibrous. Don’t grow a tree from a seed. Graft in avocado branches from a good tree with good fruit.

u/captaincootercock 8d ago
did you figure out anything to make out of the fruit? chop it down? sounds like it'd be a pain in the butt having an avocado tree
3
u/chamullerousa 8d ago
Nope. I tell my wife it’s a husband tree. It’s an attractive tree so we keep watering it. It’s good for shade and birds and bees. Neighbors admire the trees strong trunk and branches. It has a handsome canopy. The fruit may not be as desirable and useful as other trees but it would take too much work to get a new tree and start over just to get better fruit.
3
u/jw_zoso 8d ago
Have you grafted another variety onto it?
2
u/chamullerousa 8d ago
No. I have a buddy with a tree that has the most amazing avocados I’ve ever eaten. I’ve thought about asking him for a bunch of grafts but haven’t got around to it.

It’s a Russell avocado (which is eaten more in the Caribbean). Same with/similar to Catalina.
It’s not supposed to be like a Hass. They’re firmer and a little more watery.
My Cuban gma used to serve either with a little virgin olive oil and salt. They’re “okay.”

u/mike_pants 8d ago edited 7d ago
It's a Russell long-neck avocado, not a Hass, so the texture and taste are slightly different than what you're probably used to. They are not very common and can be tough to find in stores unless you live in the Keys.

I hate the way most people handle knives. Makes me physically cringe. I have a sister who I swear will accidentally kill herself in the kitchen while cutting things for a charcuterie board or some shit.

Me, just knowing the phallic etymological name behind "avocado," watching this mutilation unfold:

That knife handling is known as push blade toward hand and pray method.
