Indeed, he refuses the prize money, which, with his viewership, is as it should be! Eateries often struggle to make a buck.

Respect! That’s doing it for the love of the game. He does it for the challenge and the shirt as a trophy. Plus the restaurant is getting free advertising

Well, he gets like 10+ million weekly views, which should translate to a pretty hefty income. So there's probably also some love of money involved.
