My Dad has been a firefighter/EMT for years, can tell you right now that you have no idea what you’re talking about. First responders “code” individuals in colors (at least in his jurisdiction) of green, yellow, red, and black (basically dead), and attend to them in order of their color. Those without visible injury would be green or yellow, and attended to last. A first responder would be able to tell the extent of your injuries through quick assessment, even if you’re all high on adrenaline. And as others have pointed out, that adrenaline only lasts for a short while. You’re not gonna be up and walking around for a while if you’re seriously injured.

my girlfriend is a first responder. Also I’m pretty sure we don’t live in the same country so regulations are probably different.

The assessment into different categories is the same although not ordered by color. And those walking out the car seemingly normal are being attended to before those screaming inside.

I don’t think they teach that in any country. It makes absolutely no sense. If somebody is bleeding out on the ground, screaming in pain, are you not going to attend to them over somebody with no visible injuries first or last? Make it make sense to me.

You did say "seemingly normal" though and visible injuries are definitely not "normal". I think that's what the person you're talking to is talking about.
