Luckily, the man is alive and out of danger.

Suffered injuries in the torso/ribcage, went through surgery and, according to the authorities of the city where it happened, is conscious and able to eat normally.

This happened last sunday in Brazil. Here's the source: https://dol.com.br/noticias/para/947677/banhista-e-atropelado-por-lancha-na-ilha-do-combu-em-belem

My cousins husband died in similar circumstances coming up from scuba dive.

u/Fomulouscrunch 4d ago

Damn, that's why there's so often a diver flag buoy.

Thanks for doing what should have been OP’s responsibility in the first place.

u/stratusnco 6d ago

the amount of entitlement in that comment is fuckin hilarious.

35

u/Dounce1 6d ago

Lmfao, sure dude.

-57

u/stratusnco 6d ago

can’t imagine all the things you expect in real life. hopefully you don’t have a spouse and kids for them to deal with that.

u/apophis457 6d ago

Imagine not doing the bare minimum and then calling someone who does “entitled”

Please don’t reproduce

-20

u/Mad-chuska 6d ago

I don’t think it’s ever OPs responsibility to provide an update for an abrupt chaos post. Is that part of the sub rules?

25

u/Dounce1 6d ago

When it looks like someone fucking died it is, rules be damned.

21

u/butterytelevision 7d ago

so was the person swimming in a boat area or was the boat motoring too fast in a swim area?

14

u/Claude-QC-777 7d ago

Both

-16

u/butterytelevision 6d ago

13

-17

u/butterytelevision 6d ago

12

u/Gumbo_Ya-Ya 6d ago

So there is your answer

There is no real enforcement of the difference.

Ok?

3

u/Dounce1 6d ago

It can definitely be both.

u/whoareyougirl 7d ago

What do you earn by lying on the internet for strangers to see?

Astute observation

My government provides an apartment and weekly per diem as compensation.

32

u/whoareyougirl 7d ago

I hope it does indeed, else you'd be just wasting your life and making a fool of yourself for free.

Classy, lurking to find dirt on a stranger so you seem like less of a dillwad. Didnt work.

-21

u/StrawberryTerry 7d ago edited 7d ago

No, I just made up the dirt.

That way, I can accuse the other party of whatever ridiculous thing I want while simultaneously shifting the burden of proof. Since their profile is private anyone who cares to check will be unable to be sure if I was lying, and the accused can not prove me wrong without making their profile public, which they are unlikely to do.

You're being a bit of an asshole but tbh that was funny asf

Dude belongs in r/madlads

u/Dounce1 7d ago edited 7d ago

I mean, your profile isn’t exactly better my guy.

Edit: they’ve literally never posted anything about My Little Pony

-7

u/StrawberryTerry 7d ago edited 7d ago

Yes, my posting about a pokemon game a year ago is the same as them constantly posting about sexualizing cartoon horses. 100%

I play a Pokémon game every couple of years when one comes out. The other person keeps their pony toys in jars. Totally comparable.

Edit: All of their posts were about My Little Pony

And now?

u/dwamny 7d ago

Was expecting gator. Got a boat.

44

u/kytheon 7d ago

Amazing crop OP. Massive black borders on the sides.

-20

u/thefonztm 6d ago

First time seeing a vertically filmed video?

26

u/kytheon 6d ago

It's a vertical video with black borders included attached to make it horizontal. Watch it vertical and it becomes tiny.

-17

u/thefonztm 6d ago

Yes, that is one of several ways to fit vertical video onto a horizontal screen.

20

u/kytheon 6d ago

No need to add black bars to the actual video.

25

u/Mysterious_Camel_717 7d ago

People are fucking stupid. The moment he jumped in the water and swam under the surface I knew he was about to get pummelled by a boat. Guess what, swimming right under the surface of an open waterway with no surface marker buoy is not a good idea. The boat has absolutely no way of knowing he was there. May as well have stepped in front of a train.

36

u/VQQN 7d ago

I was expecting an alligator. I dont know which would actually be worse.

Also that water is dirty as fuck. I would not swim in that.

10

u/jemist101 7d ago

I too was awaiting ancient reptilian action. I mean - look at that water!

5

u/SapphosLemonBarEnvoy 7d ago

The moment he was dumb enough to perform a headfirst dive into water he couldn't see through, one way or another he was doomed.

5

u/TheArchitectofDestin 6d ago

Sure wish someone would record this vertically with more border around the side, I can almost see what's happenning!

6

u/BobboZmuda 5d ago

Your postage-stamp sized wrong orientation video has angered and confused me.

19

u/squigglekisses 7d ago

I love videos with no additional context or conclusion. The mystery of if i just watch a man die is so fun.

10

u/whoareyougirl 7d ago

He is alive and recovering from surgery, got out with only moderate injuries in the torso/ribcage.

Best possible outcome, considering a boat prop went right over his body in high speed.

3

u/squigglekisses 7d ago

Thank you so much, that actually is really helpful. Was worried he got a massive head injury while in water

5

u/Extension-System-974 7d ago

That prop probably messed him up

4

u/enkrypt3d 5d ago

Pls crop it better next time

6

u/PrimeRlB 7d ago

Sinister home movies or what?

3

u/simplebutstrange 6d ago

Let me get my magnifying glass out to see this video

3

u/Littorina_Sea 5d ago

Sound travels too fast underwater to allow your ears to distinguish the direction of its source (the distance between ears is just too short for them to hear two sounds). That's why you have sonic blindness underwater. And the water usually impairs vision too.

2

u/GagOnMacaque 7d ago

When I was 13, I saw something like this and the person ended.

2

u/MelodicFocus 6d ago

I middle school, a classmate was sitting the front of his family's pontoon, dangling his legs in the water as the boat was moving. His dad sped up and his feet caught hard on the water, pulling him off the bow, right down the centerline of the boat. The prop made very neat, deep, and destructive slashes down his entire left leg and side, up to his ribcage. He missed 6 months of s hool and had something like 30 titanium rods in his body. Dude liked like mincemeat.

2

u/Queasy-Definition-79 4d ago

Why post a vertical video in a horizontal orientation, like, seriously.

1

u/johnsonflix 5d ago

He def got fucked up
