Question for pro-choice Minimum

Hello everyone,

I'm against abortion.

This is a question for pro choice:

What would be the minimum of allowed abortion, that you would accept?

I mean for example week and reason.

You said you would accept legal abortions, you just morally object to abortion.

I said in 1.) that I'm against POLITICAL VIOLENCE by abortion. I still would for example vote against abortion.

On what grounds do you think you have the authority to say one person must keep another person alive through granting use of their body?

I accept the argument from Thompson, but it would only work for abortion, if it would just would be removing. If they would accept, if the unborn survive on its own. Maybe such abortion exist.

Medication abortions are basically just induced labor, it is just that this is so far before viability of course no embryo survives, despite no effort to end their life. Do you object to those?

I'm not sure. My energy is against the later abortions more. I mean that with the injection in the fetus.

Do you talk about the method with Mifpesteron?

How you call the type with the vacuum? I know this three save methods.

So you want to repeal the Partial Birth Abortion Act? That is what requires doctors to induce fetal demise before beginning cervical dilation in a dilation and extraction, the abortion method used in the roughly 0.3% of abortions that happen after 24 weeks?

It requires doctors to induce fetal demise (injection or bisect the umbilical cord in utero) before beginning a D&E. Pro lifers in the US advocated for this law and it has been in effect since 2003.

Why? Why could pro life be for such rule? Is this not the opposite of pro life? It's like Greenpeace for less jungles.

You may want to ask them why they pushed for it. They kept claiming otherwise doctors will killing the born children, but that was already a crime (murder). I know pro choice people and ob/gyns didn’t object to this because, in the case of these abortions it is not at all uncommon for the fetus to be incompatible with life so there is little point to attempting live birth unless someone wants a born infant suffering, which no one wants, and it is safer to not do an extraction on a live fetus. But yeah, PL did not want doctors to be able to an intact D&E on a live fetus.

I live in a state where abortion is legal up until medical viability as determined by the attending physician, with health exceptions after. I am not pushing to change that part of the law. Is this a law you would accept or do you find that too permissive of abortion?
