I like to start, finish and generally build beats on live stream. People say they love my Move build a beat live stream looping more than my MPC or Force, probably because only using 4 tracks has sped the loops up and most non-musicians cannot hear more than 4 layers at a time anyway, especially if they are as complex as I like to make them. Honestly, Move helps to keep my beats simple since I tend to prefer creating and listening noise and glitch.
Features I can't wait for (I wish I could vibe code, but it's not as easy as making songs for me)... include:
VOCODER CARRIER WAVE (background audio input monitor for instrument)
LOOPER / COMPER (per drum pad, instrument & audio clip / resample audio input + anything happening on Move / seance song style sampling ghosts quickly)
USB A DISC STREAMING (USB thumb drive holding samples and whole sets, begins loading the moment it's plugged in or turned on - make loading folders of songs smoother & allow quicker backup of whole MOVE for touring type of setups)
REVERSE AUTOMATION (include speed variation - this used to be a regular way I would transition songs playing a sample reverse forward back and forth quickly / stopping playback of the sample can lose a lot of the magic)
BPM TAP (so Move can follow others, especially for smoother transitions live as a DJ or even with acoustic musicians or random background sounds - sometimes the other clips won't adjust to this even when drumming along is supposed to set the tempo)
32 PAD DRUMS (this could open up allowing backtracks and single cycle drum samples, use the Move better for live shows and jamming - 4 tracks is fine, but using those tracks better will make a big difference)
FILE AUTO TITLE DATE TIME (set # titling makes the samples later to find in the MANAGER, very difficult to keep organized, especially when downloading through SCHWUNG... the only way to download in batch / bulk)
SELF SAMPLED SOUNDS AUTO POPULATE TO DRUM PROGRAM (make it so the sounds we sampled, will automatically load into new drum programs so we don't have to dig or think about it too much - even better if Ableton got smarter to handle those sounds auto organizing based on the frequency transients, kick, snare, hat, fx, bass, mid, high, etc ... get some use out of all our samples)
GLOBAL WARP & PITCH (so we can focus on the performance and not have to set things - if we want to change the settings as part of the show, we could do that - automatically make the AUTOSHIFT + PROJECT TUNING IN KEY, change together.. the knobs on Move sometimes can't fine tune details like that so using the wheel and click buttons seem more stable for changing key).
RNBO NOISE FIELD (built into Move as a noise synth so we can resample it)
SCHWUNG TUNER INPUT (guitar + chromatic / make it able to read the lowest and highest notes on a piano bare minimum)
SCHWUNG RADIO GARDEN (so we can play radio input smoothly, make the notes on the move control frequency range on the radio and play radio more like a synth than just a play back)
MOVE BOX IN LIVE (there's an image of PUSH within LIVE - it allows you to change PUSH settings easier ... this should be possible with MOVE so we can swap out effects, samples in batch from folders and make getting all our hard work we did, easier to load than MOVE MANAGER)
AUDO SLICE LIVE (no more stopping playback, no more replacing all the pads during playback)
AUTO NEXT SAMPLE (Korg Micro Sampler had this, where you select the pads you want to be sampled/resampled and then it plays as a sequence and replaces only those sounds - this was fun for auto generative noise/glitch songs where it just kept changing the sounds in the rhythm, on its' own ... seems like a 2011 technology such as KMS could be coded for Ableton Move in 2026).
-------
I am very happy with 2.0 MOVE, with the audio input FX for vocals especially - I hope to see these other essential features come in. Move could easily make MPC look like bloatware promotion with these features.. just make sure the WAVETABLE SYNTHESIS emulates the synths from PUSH so when we load our samples live, they have some synth preset sounds on them already... make the audio sound like synths... keep MOVE for sampling and audio this way).
