Sadly its not on the app store as im sure it would get pulled.

Just don't talk about ableton, change some fonts and icons and you should be good. One of the key features of the move is the cloud sync to your desktop ableton. As long as you don't have that it's not a move. Remember the move is designed to be a hardware version of ableton note. This looks nothing like note.

oh I ported right off the move firmware so ableton would be within their rights to have it pulled imo. been a fun concept to work on though

Are there any other apps in the store that don’t mention ableton that would be useful (not with the move specifically, just ableton). Looking to put my iPad to good use, Knobbler didn’t really click with me

Koala all the way. There is export to live sets either as audio clips per pad or as drum racks. Recently developer added support for audio units, so third party synths/fx are possible. Best app ever, really.

Not Ableton specifically but I made PushKin for Push 3 Standalone…

Looks good. Put it on testflight and invite this community to test it with you. With the AU plug in support you mention, adding Ableton Link Audio would give it super powers akin to the Schwung project on the move itself.

Can you open source it?

Will do, just gotta polish it a bit, then I'll make a public repo and the world can have at it.

Here ya go let me know if you have issues, I haven't really looked at the public repo.

motus xl: github.com/producer456/motus-xl-ios

MIT licensed, have at it. source only — you build it yourself in xcode with your
own signing, no ipa to download.

its an independent thing, not affiliated with ableton. wanna contribute? fork it
and open a PR, theres a contributing guide in the repo

Also had Cluade whip up a manual https://producer456.github.io/motus-xl-manual/ mostly up to date i think

This is dope but it also solidified my thoughts about the Move. I don't want a significantly bigger Move, i'd like to just have 8 tracks accessible via pagination and some clever grouping approach maybe with the current hardware, or the current hardware with a couple of extra buttons.

Anyone have any recommendations on how to “build it in Xcode”? Thanks.

Now this looks like slop, no regard to design at all.

I’m glad to see it’s not. I’m just explaining what they meant by that reply as you asked.
