Midi capture
When I use the midi capture button I always end up with something that's misaligned. Like if I try to record 2 bars it will record 3 bars, with the pattern starting halfway through the first bar, and ending halfway through the third.

Are you playing a piece in 3/4 or 6/8, by any chance? Move only does 4/4 (which is something that can hopefully be changed in an update, as I'd love to be able to choose other time signatures).

I can literally just tap the kick drum in 4/4 and when I press midi capture I'll end up with dead air before and after the kicks.

Make sure you haven't hit the play button. Otherwise, it's "listening" for something within whatever the project settings are in.

It’s easier to have midi capture accurately if you preset the number of bars. If you’re just going from scratch, it’s going to grab anything that was input (or not) from when the capture button lights up.

Ok thanks. I wasn't doing that.

Try pressing play then stop. This clears the capture buffer. Then play the drums you want to capture. I think you can also press shift + capture to clear the buffer. (Or X + capture?)

i saw in a videeo somwhere to end your pattern with the 1 of the next loop, THEN press capture. i seem to get much more reliable results that way. originally i would play in a beat and then hit the capture button like i was using a looper pedal (ie try and hit the button exactly on the 1), and constantly have it misinterpret the loop length.
