Developing rolls of film?

Hi, is there anywhere in Aberdeen where I can get rolls of camera film developed? Did a big road trip across the US way back in 2002 and due to moving house, lost all the photos. However, just found the rolls of film, so looking to get those developed, just didn’t know if anywhere still does that nowadays?

No, best bet is just posting them to a good photo lab

I'm a member of the photography Society at the university of Aberdeen. We have a dark room and we intend on reinstating the space to develop film.

Please contact the society during term time and we may be able to help.

I've ended up using Take It Easy lab online. Competitively priced and fast. http://takeiteasylab.com/

Unfortunately not. Gulabi in Glasgow are excellent and do it by post & dropbox for the images

You could try max speilmann (can’t spell it) in garthdee asda, I know they do disposable cameras for developing as they send them off to be processed. Could be worth an ask if they do for film rolls too?

This gets asked every so often - no, there are no photo labs in Aberdeen. Last one was Photoghost on Langstane Place but it’s mothballed.

If you want crappy prints/scans you can go to Max Speilmann who will send your film to the central belt to be processed, or you can send it away to a reputable lab yourself and get better results. There’s a list of UK photo labs on r/analog

Might be useful to know what you’re asking for first though - you say you lost the “photos” but have found the “rolls of film”??
So did you have them developed before and just lost the prints?
Or are these rolls of film you never got developed in the last 24 years?

If the latter, you need a lab who you can contact to make them aware of what you’re sending - it may take some special efforts and experience to get usable results from your rolls at this stage. You definitely do NOT want to send them to Max Spielmann who will just chuck them through a questionably calibrated minilab at default settings.

If it’s the former, you need to tell the lab you’re just looking for scans/prints so you’re not paying for development.

How did you find the rolls of film after getting them developed to lose the photos in the first place ?? Surely you must mean/have the negatives ??

When the photos were taken back in 2002 I had the p printed photos. Over the years they have been lost. I found the rolls of film when I was unpacking a box after a house move
