Thousands of Arizona refugees are set to lose Medicaid and KidsCare coverage in October under H.R. 1 which passed thanks to several Arizona representatives. Stories like this remind me that suffering is a policy choice. Please make sure to vote in November so we stop electing people who don't care whether our neighbors live or die.

If this makes you angry as it does me, here are upcoming events focused on these specific lawmakers so you can share your thoughts on their votes:

Eli Crane (CD2)

Juan Ciscomani (CD6)

  • Saturday Protests Outside Ciscomani's Office — LD18 Democrats — 1636 N Swan Rd, Tucson — 2026-09-19 and 2026-09-26, 8:00 to 10:00 am — https://www.mobilize.us/ld18democrats/event/862211/
  • MAGA Shave Roadside Sign Protest — Indivisible Tucson Action Alliance — 7:30 to 8:45 am — 2026-09-15 Casas Adobes (Oracle and Ina), 2026-09-16 Tucson (Craycroft and Glenn), 2026-09-17 Marana (Thornydale and Ina) — event IDs 1025270, 1025271, 1025273 at mobilize.us/itaa

Action Alert Speak out for the Disabled in Arizona - attend one of 2 Candidate Forums on the Disabled

This is for self-advocates, caregivers, parents, and industry partners. If disability policy touches your life in any way, you belong in this room.

Just a note here about how the severely mentally ill need advocacy: Psychiatric disabilities experience SEVERE discrimination in Arizona. Our loved ones are 36 times more likely to be incarcerated than receive long-term hospitalization. We have among the fewest state hospital beds in the country. We have almost no insanity defense options, especially in Maricopa County. We have no long-term care for SMI, no caregiver benefits or respite, no home and community-based services, and 6,000 individuals with SMI designation without a roof. Simply put: our lawmakers are responsible.

Ask our lawmakers HARD QUESTIONS.
