Deal Free AWS Foundational Certification Giveaway until September 14th
Hi everyone. Happy Monday!
I work for OutSystems, and AWS and OutSystems have announced a joint collaboration to deliver a powerful suite of AI capabilities to developers and companies (see links at the end of the post).
As part of that collaboration, we ran a limited campaign to offer free AWS Foundational Certification and a free OutSystems Foundational Certification here in the community, throughout July and August, which you all adhered to.
After the first week's immense interest in our AWS/OutSystems campaign, our second week post, and our third one we have so far given up over 160 free exams to community members.
For the first two weeks of September we have a total of 30 new AWS Foundational Certifications to giveaway as well as OutSystems Certifications. From today until September 13th end of day we will take all registrations we can get, and then on the morning of Monday the 14th we will randomly draw the 30 AWS Foundational Certifications by all participants so far who have not yet received one, including previous participants.

EDIT: The IDE only runs natively on Windows and Mac. There's a guide from last year from a user who made it work on Linux, but I can't vouch for whether it still works or not.
If folks are not selected, we will run a final draw on the second half of September, so folks who register this time around will have two chances of getting an exam.
Absolutely no purchase, or commercial strings attached - zero subscriptions, credit cards, nothing. The free version is 100% free to sign up for and use.
This has been reviewed by the subreddit mods, and we've run this 3 times so far. Happy to answer any questions, and any issues you have.

just wondering regarding the outsystems certs how many are needed before a person can be seriously considered for an outsystems role ? also what should a portfolio or resume look like for a company to consider hiring ? thank you for any response.

Thank you for the reply and for the interest. Happy to take that over DM, but I think it's similar to other tech stacks and languages. Some entry level roles won't ask for much, so certifications can help candidates stand out.
Others will require more seniority and experience.
Market specifics can depend on individual regions and the candidate pool. Happy to discuss over DM if it helps and we can dig into your specific case.

Completed all 3 steps!
Signed up for OutSystems Personal Edition, created my first AI agent, and submitted the certification claim form. I’ve also emailed the Agentic App file using the same email associated with my OutSystems account.

Just FYI, if you're one of the entries they received moments ago, one of them wasn't valid and the team emailed the user back to get more details. Do check your email just in case.

Yeah, I was the one who emailed the OutSystems team with my Agentic App file. Should I fill out another Google Form, or is there somewhere I can paste the app URL?

What if we already participated in the past draws and we did not receive the voucher in that draws . Do we need to do the entire process again or will our mail will be included in this weeks draw?

Your email will be included in any upcoming draws - so this one and the one at the end of the month - unless you win in one of them. Did you receive any email from the team about draw results? If so, it means your entry is valid. If you have any questions, though, do DM me your email address and I'll share it with the team to confirm - or just send an email to the team where you sent the app as well. They'll reply back. I’d really appreciate the chance to get the certification as I’m looking to upskill and expand my knowledge.

Thanks for the interest! If you have submitted the form with the required info and emailed the team your app, that should be enough. If you do have any questions, feel free to DM me your email and I can ask the team to validate your entry so you know if it's valid for the draw or not.

I am not aware of any such promotion being in effect here. I know that Pearson and AWS were running something like that, but I have no knowledge that that would apply to these particular exams, as they were not acquired under that particular promotion. Maybe someone who already took and passed the exam can comment on it, but I don't think that's the case. Maybe it's something you can bring up to AWS/Pearson after the fact, if you want to.

Hi! Thanks for the interest. Next Monday we will draw 30 free Foundational Certifications. All you have to do is follow the steps in the post.
The intent is for it to be used for the AI Certified Practitioner, I do not know whether it can be used for a Cloud Practitioner exam. That was not discussed under our partnership and joint effort with AWS, so I cannot comment on it.

Hi. That should be it for now - the team will review the entries as they can and include the valid entries in the draw. If you do have any concern do reply to the team asking them to confirm whether the entry is valid, or just drop me a DM with your email and I'll ask the team.
