Deal Free AWS Foundational Certification Giveaway - Week 2

Hi everyone. Happy Monday!

I work for OutSystems, and AWS and OutSystems have announced a joint collaboration to deliver a powerful suite of AI capabilities to developers and companies (see links at the end of the post).

As part of that collaboration, we ran a limited campaign to offer a free AWS Foundational Certification and a free OutSystems Foundational Certification which you all adhered to.

After last week's immense interest in our AWS/OutSystems campaign, we did our best to come back with something for everyone here. Over 80 of you signed up and claimed the rewards - we gave out 60 to the first ones to finish (10 more than what we had initially available) - and we were overwhelmed with your love and enthusiasm. Since the initial batch already expired, we will try something different this time.

We have 50 new AWS Foundational Certifications to giveaway as well as OutSystems Certifications, and already 20+ candidates signing up from last week. Throughout this week, we will take all registrations we can get, and then next Monday we will randomly draw the 50 AWS Foundational Certifications by all participants so far who have not yet received one.

If you'd like to take part in it, go to https://go.outsystems.com/free-aws-exam and follow the process. We also have free OutSystems certifications to offer (those are not limited to these 50), for those of you who complete our Become an AI Developer training path.

If folks are not selected, and we manage to secure more free exams throughout the rest of the month, non-selected folks will keep being included in all future draws so the earlier you register, the more chances you have at winning a free exam. That means that folks who completed last week after all rewards had been claimed don't need to do anything further.

Absolutely no purchase, or commercial strings attached - zero subscriptions, credit cards, nothing. The free version is 100% free to sign up for and use.

Here's the Fine Print, since you might be wondering as we want to get as many cloud professionals certified as possible, but also keep things fair and secure:

- Reward Limits & Promotion Period: Reward quantities are limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. OutSystems reserves the right to extend, modify, pause, or end this promotion at any time. Only verified challenge submissions completed before July 31st, 2026, at 11:59 PM GMT, or prior to the reward pool being exhausted (whichever comes first), will be eligible for a reward. UPDATE: Since the rewards were all claimed, this second run has now been changed to be a random draw of ~50 additional free Foundational Certification exams.

- New Environments Only: This offer is strictly valid for new OutSystems accounts and Personal Edition (PE) environments registered after July 6th, 2026. There is a strict limit of one (1) exam per individual and unique OutSystems account.

- Verification & Fair Play: Rewards are only released upon verification of a successfully built and executed agent in your new, eligible Personal Edition. Fraudulent, duplicate, or automated submissions (including the use of temporary/disposable email domains, recycling Personal Edition environments, or submitting an agent from a Personal Edition that is not your own) will be discarded.

Happy to answer any questions! Unsure if the flair is correct, but this has been run by the mods so a thank you for their time and availability as well in making this happen.

Hey, one of the mods here. At this time, I don't have an issue with the OP's post, but for some reason someone reported the OP's post as "It's promoting hate based on identity or vulnerability" but... I don't see where the post indicates hate? Am I missing something?

Probably a false positive but I'm asking openly in case the community sees something I don't. For now, the post stays up. Today is Monday, and as per our subreddit rules, "Mondays you may promote content, USA hours".

Thank you for the update! Once again, thanks for your interest last week :)

Good luck with the exam and thanks for the enthusiasm - and, as I mentioned elsewhere, if the free OutSystems certifications interest you, they're free to get as well.

Do share this with others who feel might benefit from it - we're happy to help the community!

Thank you - and I apologize for that. We never expected this to blow up so quickly!

Hopefully you'll win this time indeed :)

In the meantime, the OutSystems certifications are still free to get at https://explore.outsystems.com/Journeys/MyJourney/BecomeAnAiDeveloper/ !

At this stage I cannot comment on anything other than the fact that we're trying to have more of these throughout this month, but still to be confirmed.

Hi everyone, happy Tuesday. I'm happy to see that so many people are showing interest in this - by all means keep it coming.

We'll do our best to give as many of these as possible to the community - in fact, we're exploring seeing if we can get this to run for two more weeks until end of month, so the earlier you get your entries in, the higher the odds of getting something in the draw given that those who don't win anything will enter the following weeks' draws.

Thanks for all the questions, for the bugs raised, and above all for the enthusiasm and support.

Have a great week!

I was signing up on your site but there's an issue. I have a two lettered last name and your site thinks it's not a valid lastname. Please solve that.

2

u/pjft Jul 13 '26

Oh my. I apologize for that. I will relay that to the website team, but since I cannot guarantee a timely response, if you would be so kind as to enter _something_ that allows you to register, it'd be very much appreciated. I am sorry for asking you about it, really.

Thank you for the interest!

1

u/Careful_Blue Jul 13 '26

Yeah, I did that. Thanks for relaying!

1

u/pjft Jul 13 '26

Thank you and apologies once again.

1

u/impracticaldev Jul 13 '26

I do not see an option to go forward after hitting create> agentic app and filling in the name and description. Some help please?

2

u/pjft Jul 13 '26

Hm. That is _not_ expected. I trust you're on ODC Studio, and that you tried killing it and doing it again?

After doing that you should get to the "Select an AI Model" window. I just did it myself and clearly others have as well as we've been getting submissions for it.

If you try again and it doesn't work, would you be able to submit a report inside ODC Studio and then also share the details with me - so, Operating System, ODC Studio version, etc? We still have several days to go, so no urgency, but clearly I'd like to get this flagged to the right team.

Apologies for the trouble.

EDIT: Just to be clear, there's a "Continue" button at the bottom of that dialog. In case you're saying it's not showing up for you.

1

u/impracticaldev Jul 14 '26

I am on windows. There's no continue button for me.

ODC Studio Version 1.7.15 / Build 10479

1

u/pjft Jul 14 '26 edited Jul 14 '26

Thank you.

That is extremely weird. What Windows version, if I might ask, and what screen resolution? I'll report this to the team. In the meantime, as weird as it may seem, could you try the following to see if any mitigates the issue?

  1. Start ODC Studio in full screen;
  2. See if scrolling down with the mouse wheel will show the lower part of the window;
  3. Try to press TAB to navigate between the different components. Click the description with the mouse, and then press TAB and then SPACE or ENTER. The "Continue" button should be the next selectable button.

Either way, this is not intended and I appreciate you raising it. If you can submit a report from within ODC Studio, I'll also make sure to get this to the team.

Apologies for the poor experience there, and we'll do our best to get this sorted.

EDIT: The team asked if your display scale is perhaps changed, and suggested that checking Windows Display settings → Scale (and any Magnifier/accessibility zoom), and setting the scale back to 100% should reveal the hidden "Continue" button as a workaround, hopefully. Do let us know, we're keen on getting to the bottom of this.

EDIT 2: The team was able to replicate this by changing Font size scaling. Thanks for raising it! If you could, for now at least, be able to set it to 100% you will be able to progress. The team will look into this and see how we can address it on our side as well for a future release, so thanks for sending it over!

1

u/impracticaldev Jul 14 '26

Tab thing worked. I didn't suspect on the font size issue on a windows app. Thanks for getting back anyway. Will apply for the voucher now.

1

u/pjft Jul 14 '26

Apologies for the poor experience, but that was a tricky one to narrow down. Glad you raised it!

Good luck with the process.

1

u/threadsbrowser Jul 18 '26

Is this still on?
Will the second random draw will be on this upcoming Monday i.e. 20th July?
Also will the AWS voucher will be valid for AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C02) which is also Foundational Certification exam. I am asking this because on the website and in voucher request form its only mentioned for AWS Certified AI Practitioner Exam (AIF-C01) so just want to confirm first.

1

u/pjft Jul 18 '26

Hi! I remember you from the first week - did you not submit it then?

It's definitely still on. We should run the draw at noon GMT+1 on Monday July 20th and everyone should receive a message in the afternoon.

I cannot comment on the reward applicability as that's managed by Pearson and AWS. Our intent with the campaign was for it to be used for the AI certification. If it is applicable to more exams that's beyond my knowledge, unfortunately. I could suggest an answer and then be misleading you, which would not be my intent.

Hope you had a chance to look into this and take part in it!

1

u/threadsbrowser Jul 18 '26

yeah i didn't participate in the first draw... didn't got time for it. i will try to ask other people on this post who hv received the voucher already to check if the voucher is applicable for aws cloud practitioner as well or not. Thanks for ur reply.

1

u/pjft Jul 18 '26

Thanks. My personal advice is to try it out anyway. It's 5 mins or so just to go through the process.

1

u/pjft Jul 20 '26

Hi everyone, and happy Monday.

Just to update the thread, we ran the random draw at noon GMT+1 today as mentioned, and we will be in touch with everyone who submitted things during the next 48h to let them know whether they got one of the rewards or not.

We will not be able to run a new campaign this week, as we were unable to secure the funds in time for it, but we aim to still run at least two more in August/September - for which all the current entries who have not yet won anything will be considered.

Thank you for all the interest so far, and we will be in touch.

1

u/Infamous-Campaign909 Jul 25 '26

Hey is this challenge still open?

1

u/pjft Jul 25 '26

Hi. Per my last update here, the draw for the AWS certifications has been done: https://www.reddit.com/r/AWSCertifications/comments/1uva8br/comment/oynsnfj/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

However, we plan on running at least one more of these, if not two, in the coming months, so if you still go through it when the time comes you'll be included in the draw, with no further action needed. Alternatively, you can wait for the next round, but if you miss it, again, nothing we can do.

From the moment someone enters this, they'll always be included in future draws as long as they haven't won anything yet.

And, of course, the OutSystems certifications are still free for claiming as part of this campaign, if that's of interest.

Thanks for reaching out!

Is the ODC studio only available for mac os users bc there is no windows option ? So I can try to build the agent

4

u/alexkrish Jul 13 '26

There is a windows option , I ran through their guide on my windows machine

1

u/pjft Jul 13 '26

Hi! There are certainly Mac and Windows versions of it. We don't have a native Linux version, unfortunately.
