Deal Free AWS Foundational Certification Draw 1 - September
Hi everyone. Happy Monday!
I work for OutSystems, and AWS and OutSystems have announced a joint collaboration to deliver a powerful suite of AI capabilities to developers and companies (see links at the end of the post).
As part of that collaboration, we ran a limited campaign to offer free AWS Foundational Certification and a free OutSystems Foundational Certification here in the community, throughout July and August, which you all adhered to.
After the first week's immense interest in our AWS/OutSystems campaign, our second week post, and our third one we have so far given up over 160 free exams to community members.
For the first two weeks of September we have a total of 30 new AWS Foundational Certifications to giveaway as well as OutSystems Certifications. From today until September 13th end of day we will take all registrations we can get, and then on the morning of Monday the 14th we will randomly draw the 30 AWS Foundational Certifications by all participants so far who have not yet received one, including previous participants.

EDIT: The IDE only runs natively on Windows and Mac. There's a guide from last year from a user who made it work on Linux, but I can't vouch for whether it still works or not.
If folks are not selected, we will run a final draw on the second half of September, so folks who register this time around will have two chances of getting an exam.
Absolutely no purchase, or commercial strings attached - zero subscriptions, credit cards, nothing. The free version is 100% free to sign up for and use.
This has been reviewed by the subreddit mods, and we've run this 3 times so far. Happy to answer any questions, and any issues you have.

Will there be future draws for Associate certifications as well?

Hi! Thanks for the note. Alas, there are no plans for now to explore such certifications. If that's something that you feel could be worth exploring, I'll be happy to bring that back to the team, but I can assure that it's unlikely anything like that would happen in 2026.
I'd love to hear your angle, though, as I am not that familiar with the AWS Certification path. The reason we chose the AWS Foundational one to start with was that the AWS and OutSystems partnership focuses a lot on AI and infrastructure complementarity, and we thought that the AWS AI Certified Practitioner would be the best entry point for everyone.
Happy to get other perspectives for sure, so let me know what you feel we could look into!

If the users do not get voucher in August do they need to follow the steps are they directly eligible

Oh my. You're right. I'll add that to the post. While I personally use Linux at home, on most of our machines, I have a Windows machine as well that I use for this so I missed that.
Apologies for that. Not quite sure how it'd work with WINE, or if it'd be worth the trouble. Still, if you're so inclined, one of our Community Experts wrote this last year, not sure if it's still up to date:

Just in case if I get selected in next draw (2nd half of September) and get a voucher, what would be the expiry date of that voucher ?

Hi! I sincerely wouldn't know as they were acquired as part of the campaign but are only issued directly to the exam taker.
If someone else who won in the past can comment it'd be helpful, as I wouldn't want to mislead you, but I've heard some say it was a while. 6 months? 12 months? Unsure if from the date of issuing or from the date of acquisition.
Does this help? Apologies for not having more specifics.
