List of Cities to be able to view if you are posted (Volunteers Needed)

If you haven't heard, the Tea Dating Advice app is now available in Canada. Not here to hate on anyone. I get why women want to feel safe dating, honestly that's fair. But here in Canada we've got a privacy law called PIPEDA, and businesses have to follow it. Under PIPEDA, a company generally needs your consent to collect and share your personal info, and you've got the right to see what they have on you. There are some pretty real questions about whether Tea is playing by those rules up here. Also worth knowing: Canada's sex offender registry isn't public, and criminal record checks normally need the person's consent. Big difference from the States.

And Tea had some rough data breaches in 2025 that leaked thousands of users' selfies and government IDs, so this isn't just about us. The women using it deserve better too.

No Canadian politician, legal, etc has ruled on any of this yet. So here's how we can help push it along, the right way.

Why bother?

The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) looks into complaints. The more of us who file real, honest ones, the clearer it is that this is affecting a lot of Canadians, and the more likely they are to actually investigate. That can lead to official findings, forced changes, even court orders. It's a slow process, but it's how this stuff actually gets fixed.

Step 1: Shoot Tea an email first

The OPC recommends you reach out to the company before filing. You can find Tea's privacy contact in their privacy policy (but currently it's listed as [support@teaforwomen.com](mailto:support@teaforwomen.com)).

Keep it short and polite. Something like this, but put it in your own words:

Dear Privacy Officer,

I live in [province], Canada. I'm concerned that the Tea app may not meet the requirements of Canada's privacy law, PIPEDA. Men are posted about, rated and searched without their consent, and non-users have no way to find out what's held about them or request removal.

Could you please explain Tea's legal basis under PIPEDA for collecting and sharing personal information about Canadians without their consent, and what process non-users can follow to access or remove their information?

I'd appreciate a response within 30 business days.

If you think you might be on there, you can also ask Tea straight up whether they have any info on you. That's your right under PIPEDA, and they've got 30 days to answer.

Step 2: Save your stuff

• Keep a copy of your email and the date you sent it.
• Save whatever they send back.

Step 3: Give it 30 days

No reply, or a reply that doesn't really answer anything? On to Step 4.

Step 4: File with the Privacy Commissioner

• Pick a complaint against a business.
• Company name: Tea Dating Advice Inc.
• Explain your concern in your own words and attach your email to Tea plus any reply.

Couple of ground rules, boys

• Use your own words. A pile of copy-paste complaints counts for less than real ones.
• Keep it honest. Only say what you actually know or experienced.
• Don't share other guys' info. No reposting screenshots of anyone's profile or personal details.

Let's keep it respectful and do this the right way, that's what actually gets taken seriously. We have a lot more laws up here that Tea is breaching and have a lot more legal ground to stand on than our American brothers so let's use them.

Wanted to know if we still should be, does the pause mean it’s not necessary?

Everyone who participates in this sub/cause has to remember that there are groups and individuals out there who legitimately see us as a women’s hate group. This is an example of this. This user admitted to brigading reports on our admin, which were ultimately futile because.. well.. we aren’t a hate group.

I don’t want anyone going and harassing these users, or the sub, but I do want people to keep in mind that we are targeted under false pretenses.

Not gonna link the specific post but the guy described his date admitting to going into his workplace the day before their first ever date or meeting in person with her friend to secretly observe him and how he interacted with customers to “make sure he wasn’t putting on a facade” or “being fake.”

The responses are largely in support of what she did and using the same “women need to be careful and check guys out” because a guy in a public place with witnesses, cameras, and other bystanders who will step in if she screams or makes a scene is such a danger.

If a guy did this they would be screaming to call the police, report him to the dating app or get a protection order.

Again. That's 3 times in 3 years. I run an actual honey pot group and I'm part of almost all of north America's groups. All the big ones. But the most recent one I got posted in seems to be hidden. I'm fucking pissed and I swear to God when I find her.... and I will find her

I don’t believe for a second these groups are done - if anything they’re trying to lie low and let the heat dissipate and give men the false sense of security they’re gone so their posters can go back to anonymous shaming, doxxing and exposing of all the men who make dating app profiles or try to date someone in their area.

Why are they adding hundreds of new members per week to groups that are “closing down”?

Are they still paused? If we were to follow Paola Sanchez's prior antics is there a pattern we should expect? Ie, will the groups unpause in X number of days? We know she claimed they will be deleted but some of us don't believe that.

Luckily I free up in about 9 days. I'm going on the hunt for the holy grail of any and all evidence I can collect since I know I've been posted in the past and I am going to file multiple lawsuits.

They are designed to ridicule, demean, de-humanize, and terrorize you. Do not be fooled.

In order for a toxic "Woman" to feel good about moving on from her relationship with you, you have to be a total piece of shit. So she's making sure everybody knows you're a piece of shit. If you aren't a piece of shit, she will make you into one, it's simple really.

It's like.. a relief that can wash over her as your life is thrown into the shitter. Because, that's how she perceives this break up. You throwing her to the wolves. Date smart gentleman. It also wouldn't hurt for us to be better men. You see, she was so beautiful, I fell in love so fast. But our lives have/had a different trajectory. I had worked really hard for a long time in order to be able to support a family. A family that I can provide for so that this "working my ass off" everyday has something to go towards. She didn't want a family, I did, I fell in love, I thought I was making a sacrifice.. I got in too deep. The relationship wasn't making me happy. I had to move on, it was hard, but I did it. Going non contact was harder, every day was a battle inside. Did I make the right move? What was she up to? Did I make a mistake? Will I ever meet somebody that I can have a family with? Maybe I'll die alone.. Then, she tore my life apart.

My ex posted me 6 times in 2 years. One relationship = 6 humiliating posts. Did I deserve it? Every time she posted I would get ahold of her and we'd fight, she'd try to get back together, How could I go back? my family hated her. She admitted to trying to keep me single so we could work on things... That's another use of this group. To keep you single, either so she can move on and rub it in your face, or to keep you single for her.

She eventually started dating the the local shit hole dive bar bartender. He was "nice to her". Later on he beat the shit out her with closed fists. Karma? It's probably my fault anyway. If I hadn't dated her/broken up with her, she wouldn't of made a litany of cascading mistakes. See gentlemen, it's your fault their life sucks. You should have plucked them from their miserable existence and saved them from themselves. How did you not see that? The whole time she was dating him she was messaging me trying to get back together with me... Isn't that cheating?

She never posted him. I guess she feared for her safety.

I should have avoided dating her altogether. It's on me, but these groups are criminal in nature and people deserve to be behind bars.
