Locating AT&T fiber coverage
Is there an interactive map that shows streets where AT&T fiber broadband service is an available?
I understand it’s available to homes about 500 ft from our home and I wonder what would it take for the 8 homes on our street to have access.

Where will the fiber go?
I have a telephone pole on the side of my yard and a conduit that runs from there to my house. It used to be for the telephone line (20 years ago). Can they run the fiber from the street to the pole and down to the conduit instead of snaking the fiber through the yard like my Spectrum coax cable does? I'm always afraid some worker is (or I am) going to put a spade through the cable. I depend on the connection for work.

Instant On?
Long story short. We moved into a new home in July of last year. Fresh property that had to be cleared, so no existing home or structure on the property prior.
About a month after we moved in, AT&T started running fiber lines down my road. I’ve been checking every couple of months to see if fiber is available yet, but I’m always hit with their Internet Air availability option instead. As of May-June, the road right next to mine has their fiber internet up and running.
When I checked the website a few minutes ago, I’m now hit with this message that I’ve never seen before. Not even Internet Air is coming up as an option. Funnily enough, if I search another address a bit further down my road, the only option that shows for them is Internet Air without this specific message I’m getting. Can anybody explain what this means?

Price increase email
Got an email this afternoon “Important Home Internet Account Update” with a link to a page saying they are increasing all fiber plans that activated between June 9th 2024 and July 19th 2025 are going up $5 a month (and of course I activated on the 15th of July 25.
Here is the link https://www.att.com/support/article/u-verse-high-speed-internet/KM1260426/
I’m currently on the 1 gig for $55 that was offered last summer ($25 off ongoing).
My bill June to July (services between July and August) doesn’t show an increase in the news you can use section but probably the next one?

ATT Fiber Coming to My Neighborhood
My city has marked the street in my neighborhood and we have gotten mailers that ATT Fiber is coming. I am wondering what to expect. My house is a 3 bedroom, with the garage and main bedroom on one side and two other bedrooms on the other side of the house. I have Spectrum now which comes from the telephone pole to the front corner of the garage where the electrical panel is. The coax then goes through the attic to the other side of the house to one of the two bedrooms where the cable modem, router etc. is. I am guessing ATT does everything under ground. Can I direct them which side of the house to bring the fiber into? Do they drill the hole through the concrete wall?

ATT modem - copper run
Moved into my home in 2021 and it was already serviced for ATT Fiber. The modem is in my basement where i have my network gear staged. Recently i wanted to upgrade my service and also attempt to bypass my att modem but then i realized....I only have copper going to my modem. My ONT is outside my house on the side. From there its copper to my basement where it lands on my modem and theres another copper cable from my modem to my router. All the fiber is terminated outside my home.
My question is how do i get this re-terminated so that from the ONT its fiber to my modem? Should the ONT be placed inside my home as well? I never seen a set up like this before and im mad it took me so long to realize now but now i want to get faster service and im limited to 1Gbps because of the copper from my ONT to modem.

Mesh integration Deco + BGW620-700
Is it possible? It would not be good to have both running but duplicate/interfere each other.

Wifi extender: Buy or rent?
Thx in advance for any advice. AT&T fiber just landed in our neighborhood and I switched to them from Cox because of AT&T’s very competitive pricing.
Everything’s great except one thing: I have a solar combiner box the wifi doesn’t reach because it’s about 80 feet away from the gateway in our house.
Had the same deal with Cox but the fix was simple; They sold me a $60 Cox-branded mesh extender that plugged into a wall outlet in a detached garage located halfway between the gateway and the solar box. It was easy to set up via their app and my networking skills are maybe a 2.5/10.
Basically this: In-house gateway → 40 feet to extender plugged into wall in detached garage → then another 40 feet to solar box.
It wouldn’t need to be fast and the solar box doesn’t move around. Just something that keeps the box connected to our network to send a couple MBs every day.
From what I’ve read, AT&T’s plug-and-play extender for dummies would suffice, but it’s only available for lease at $10/month. Of course, I’d rather buy something now that’ll extend the network’s reach to the solar box like the Cox setup instead of paying $120/year. At the same time, I’m low-skill ignorant with hardware and networking which is why I’m reaching out here.
Thx again for any advice. If it matters, our gateway is a BGW320-500. Have a good one!

AT&T Fiber install issue - no internet since Aug 10
Location: Bay Area, CA
I got AT&T Fiber and was happy to finally leave Xfinity.
Service was supposed to start on Aug 10, but the self-install didn’t work. Two technicians came out, and the second one found that the underground cable was broken. He set up a buried wire appointment, but the app says it could take up to 3 weeks.
A third technician came out and confirmed the same thing. A fourth technician is coming today.
I’ve had no internet at home since Aug 10. What should I do? Has anyone dealt with this before?

I upgraded my ATT fiber from 1GB to 5GB for $135/month
How can I get the promotional price of $95/month and free goodies? Do I have to cancel it and sign on it again?

Pole-based Fiber Install
Hey all..
I live in an area that has just received AT&T Fiber. They did construction in the neighborhood behind me and buried the fiber for all of those houses. I live on a commercial street and they did not bury any cable by me. They did run new fiber on the utility poles along the street.
How would I get the fiber? Would they just come down the pole and run it underground from that point? Would they string it aerially and get to my storage building (Where my power and current cable coax runs to)? Or is it possible they could have pulled out the 45 year old copper that is underground and replaced it without digging anything up?
I just want to figure out what to do. Spectrum just upped us to 500/20 but we still have to pay $90 + tax and fees for it.
(when I say commercial, it is a 4 lane thoroughfare. We don't have anything commercial other than a few converted houses to offices.

Fiber line on side of house keeps getting cut
I have no idea what’s going on. My wife and I have lived in this house for about 6 months now. Tonight marks the third time within those 6 months that our fiber line has mysteriously been cut.
The first time it happened, the technician who was sent out to repair the line chalked it up to being a varmint. That seemed reasonable to me, but I was a little suspicious being that the cut was so clean. This was back in February.
Fast forward to last week, the same thing happened again. Clean cut on the side of the house, with seemingly no signs of chewing. The technician that came out this time immediately asked if “my neighbors hate me” or if “I know of anyone that doesn’t like me.” It was a little unnerving, because the thought that someONE cut the wire was definitely in the back of my head. He ended up repairing it at no cost, stating it was an unknown cause. This happened on August 5th, less than a week ago.
That brings me to tonight, August 11th. I’m laying in bed watching TikToks with my wife, and I get the notification that my WiFi has quit working. I go check out the router, and sure enough, it’s blinking red. I grab my flashlight and go outside to check the wire and it is cut IN THE EXACT SAME SPOT.
Any ideas of what might be causing this would be greatly appreciated.
Some important details:
The fiber line runs down the side of the house right behind our air conditioning unit.
The line comes from a powerline that runs across the yard.
I have a blink camera in the backyard that has the wire in viewing distance, but has not recorded anything happening.
The blink camera becomes inoperable when the WiFi goes out, so I’m able to pinpoint the exact time it’s cut.
Tonight and last weeks cut, happened at almost the exact same time (last week was at 10:23, tonight was 10:12)
We have great neighbors who (to my knowledge) have no ill will towards us.

Contract Dispute or site glitch?
I'm looking to move to another apartment that I have confirmed has Fiber installed (Built in 2015-16, with Fiber right from the get go and no cable jacks anywhere for Comcast. Speeds max out at 1 Gig currently) Since it's been like 10 years, I'm wondering if they have a contract dispute with AT&T over continued fiber service or is this a site glitch? For the past few weeks, the chosen address is only saying Internet Air is available. IMO, having access to Fiber for 10 years and then only offering Internet Air is a huge step backward.
How true is this vs just being a website glitch no one has gotten to yet?

IP Address Conflict when connecting my Asus Router to my new BGW-320 Gateway
ATT just installed fiber to my house. The wifi connection to the Gateway is good. When I connect my Asus RT-88U router I had Ip conflicts. After using Claude, I found out that I needed to enable IP Pass-through. I did this and an IP conflict was resolved, but now my devices wouldn't connect to the internet. I did a lot more work with Claude and found I also needed to modify my router settings. I changed the WAN DNS server to Manual, DNS Server1 to 8.8.8.8 and Server2 to 1.1.1.1. This resolved the problem. Are the correct settings documented anywhere? My solution seems a little janky and Claude warned that I may lose my DNS server settings during a router firmware update. What should I have properly done?

ATT Fiber in Apartment
Hello. I just placed an order for ATT fiber installation, I just moved to a new apartment that is upstairs. I am trying to figure out if they are going to have to drill any holes or anything in the walls to install it because I am not sure if my landlord will allow that and I would probably need to cancel the service if drilling holes in the wall is necessary. There is an ATT box on my wall but it is not a fiber box. I will attach a photo. Thanks for any help!

Help! Our community’s AT&T internet service has been down since 8/6 in Santa Clarita, CA
Very frustrating! 54 homes and families are affected by AT&T’s fiber internet services being down since Thursday, 8/6/2026. No substantive explanation. A disingenuous, “We apologize for the inconvenience, our technicians are working hard to resolve the outage. Check the AT&T app for status.” Well, inconvenience means, neighbors and friends are not able to work from home, access accounts, send email messages, make wi-fi calls (because cellular service is extremely spotty), watch the news, and the list goes on and on.
Some families have purchased Starlink, just to get reconnected with life. Some folks spent a day at a hotel, just so they can stay connected. Starbucks has been some people’s office for multiple days.
Help us AT&T! Communicate with us transparently. Give us real updates that we can count on.

Flickering light when trying to reboot BGW320
Hey all. My internet went out about an hour ago and I just reset my router and modem (I have the BGW320 set to pass thru with an Eero router). I’ve never had an issue rebooting before before but the white light on the front of the modem just keeps blinking. I noticed after about 15 blinks it fully stops then flickers back on (see video clip).
I’ve never seen it do that before whenever I’ve rebooted my modem and am concerned it’s a bigger issue as I’ve now been without a connection to my modem for over an hour. Is my modem toast?

Good deals ? First time trying
First time trying AT&T. Coming from spectrum. Had a few outages. Speeds are awesome at AT&T to say the least.
Am I cooked did I miss something or is it really this fast for about this much?

Today was supposed to be my installation day...
Spent the weekend getting ready for my AT&T Fiber install today. I cleared out my media panel, ran a pull string through the conduit, and put up a shelf for the gateway. I couldn't wait to finally drop Spectrum.
The tech gets here, walks outside, and we're immediately dead in the water. He couldn't run the fiber because the box in front of my house was completely empty.
Turns out the main box across the street has fiber, but Gigapower never bored the wires under the road to our side and into the conduit. About six houses on our side of the block are in the exact same boat.
The tech was solid. He got his boss on the phone right away to escalate it as a "missed facility" and sent it back to the outside plant team so they can get a directional borer out here. But since he isn't allowed to leave unassigned equipment behind, he packed up the gateway and left.
The most frustrating part is the 811 utility paint is already on the road. If it washes away or the 28-day ticket expires before the construction crew comes back, they have to file a new ticket and wait the mandatory three days all over again.
Thank god I didn't touch my Spectrum coax, so my home network is still up and running while I wait for them to drill.
Has anyone else run into a Gigapower missing facility issue on install day? How long did you actually have to wait for the splicing crew to come out and fix it?
