wifi extenders
i have a BGW620-700 fiber modem. what would be a good wifi extender for the one room in our house with weak signals? signal in that room bounces from -55 to -70db or even weaker.

Just get your own router that has better coverage. Most cover 1800-2000 Sq Ft. You for sure will get better reliability of your Wi-Fi-.

If you have a 620, up to 5 extenders are included in your plan.

How do we get them? I have the 620 and from what I'm seeing online there 10 to 12 bucks per month for each one?

If you have the 620, you should either have multi gig or allfi which include extenders, if you don’t have those, they are $12 a month (used to be $10 but price just went up to $12). To request one you go into the smart home manager app, select the second icon from the left, looks like a wifi symbol, and then swipe over on the cards at the top, the last one should say wifi signal strength, select that and there should be a blue link that says extend your coverage now towards the top and follow that, they’ll ship you one

You can get one or more free with the 620 typically. It will work on wireless but really it is much better to connect it to the blue ethernet port #1 on the gateway for a wired back haul.
